Help HOW TO: Installing Froyo 2.2

found out my problems were due to open home just had to erase it and then re flash and reinstall.. phone is amazing now!!!!!! battery life is greatly improved. Although shaky at first now the phone is absolutely solid!

I'd like to know for sure too, before I put the leaked version on my Droid X.

I am running Leaked Froyo on my DX. If it is true about the Official Froyo Update coming this Friday, September 3rd, will I be able to get it to overwrite the leaked froyo?

Unfortunately nobody outside Motorola or Verizon likely knows the answer to that question. If the build number changes then it's possible that the release Froyo will OTA successfully but this remains to be seen.

If you installed leaked 2.2 you won't get OTA to the official. I'm hoping for a update.zip which would update the leaked version. Have this worked in the past?
