Help HOW TO: Reverting Back to 2.1

I tried this for a few hours and I kept getting the error "ERROR: Flash failure: Interface BP: Error sending RAM download for bootloader. Device API Error: 0xE0030009 Address: 0x1BE400 Command: ADDR (Error Code: e0030009)" even though my phone said it was complete. So I ignored the error and got stuck in a Droid eye boot loop. I cleared my data and cache, then it started up and I'm now downloading the 2.2 OTA. Will there be any problems with this?

Edit: Yeah so I installed the update and it's not exploding or anything. All the stuff on my SD card appears to be loading right. Am I in the clear?

Except for contacts. Damnit.

sooo after i get back down to 2.1 i could just go into the bootstrap and could i go into the back up that i did of the phone before?

I never thought I'd be one of these people, but apparantly I thought I had two good copies of the .sbf file but they're both too small. My X is bricked, please help, where can I get this file. Rootzwiki.com is shut down.

I just followed the directions on post 1, everything worked out from there...just make sure you do EVERYTHING the post says

I can vouch that it does work, happily downloading 2.2 now

Found the correct file, already had it, just stupid slip up I guess. My problem now is it's asking me to Manually restart but it only takes 15 minutes tops to complete the whole process, then I'm stuck in boot loop...Power and Home does not work. Can everyone safely say it took around 40 minutes? All file sizes match up, running RSD 4.7, moved .ini to correct place...I'm stumped.

Not positive that this will work, and not sure if you've done it already, but did you pull the battery? That way you can restart it holding down power and search

This is my second time doing flashing the sbf. First time it went off without a hitch. This time I am getting the error message that "phone is not compatible with multi user interface". I am rooted on the leaked 2.2 but unrooted before trying to flash the sbf. I am not bricked. My phone returns to normal upon reboot after every attempt. Any clues what this error message is referring to or what could be causing this? Thanks in advance.

So I Completely give up...HOW do you "how to unzip sbf_flash ?

On 2 diff computers, I follow the instructions...open RSDLite and then open the verizon file that was provided. In both situations, No device properties and / or file properties show up therefore can never click start....please helpppppp!

+1 Any ideas or advice ?? sbf unzipped and loaded in rsd lite but cant get it to recognize my phone.

Can somebody send me a link via PM for the link to downgrade.zip for the Droid X? I just found out that I have the leaked 2.3.9 version of the software on my Droid X, but I've never rooted it to install it, so now I'm trying to get rid of it to get Android 2.2.1 OTA.

Thanks
