Root How to root Micromax A25 by Mastermind

Infinite thanks to mistermind finally i rooted my mmx smart a25................ Its really easy just pay attention to each step and u need to do nothing extra apart from these steps........

if u wanna thanks mastermind, then plzz provide me with complete rom dump of your phone..

adi try this: download mastermind scatte file then open it in notepad after that remove everything in it then copy and paste this

save scatter file keep this scatter file with cmw recovery img vaibhav provided then open sp flash tool select this scatter file if it sp show any error ignore it after that disable da download and click download after doing this ur phone will not power on after that remove battery from ur phone and connect it to ur pc and see ur pc is able to detect it or not after that select scatter file provided in stock rom file keep everthing tick keep da download enabled after that click firmware upgrade if it show error dissconect ur phone from pc then click download and connect ur phone to pc

it doesn't work now either... sp flash tool hangs nd then when i remove battery while its hanged, it shows all images have benn locked... :/

same for flashing system.img.. it is also been locked... don't know the mess i have created for myself....

new update from my side....
i was able to flash stockrom someshow.... including Preloader nd DSP_DA..
now i pushed power button; it showed same splash screen bt it was limit, then phone reboots nd i was redirected to stock recovery where nothing happens...
so i flashed "modified boot.img" by mastermind, then flashed "cwm recovery.img" by vaibhav...
then.....

followed vaibhav's instructions to flash rom...
1) wipe data and cache partition
2) wipe cache partition
3) go to advance menu and wipe davlik cache
4) go back and select mount and restore the format data, format cache and format system
5) go back and select install zip from sd card
6) select choose zip from sd card
7) selcet the zip file downloaded above and select yes..if it asks yes 2 times the just click on yes and it will be flashed..
8) fix permission from advanced menu
9) ur phone will take upto 5 minutes to boot first time...this is because the system prepares the davlik cache...


bt still stuck at splash screen... any suggestion or help ??

this is the 2nd time i got successful; plzzz someone tell me wht to do now
nd i will explain the reasons behind some common errors people face....
which i have experienced all in this hell of week.. :/

how to start my phone now ??
how to get past splash screen, how much time it takes for 1st boot after flashing stock rom ??

Dont know about this one!
it usually takes 3 minute to strt up after installing
as same error occurs everytime after flashing and installing
trying going to mmx center?

so in the end i will have to visit mmx centre ..
can u tell me if they would charge for repairing phone or not;
it only 2 weeks old..
nd if they charge, then how much ?

They wont repair your phone becuase you bricked it yourself
Will physical bill u have warrnty if u make them fools they might replace it
Or they will charge a lot

Guys I hv ported micromax A52 rom to Micromax A25...with functions like 3G and GPS...gonna make a try..all things are working fine except bluetooth and wifi...will try to fix them..and if all things will be working fine i will post it here...

nd they accepted it in warranty.

Ofcourse you should root it! As all of us did. But follow the steps and i did on windows 7 with drivers working and dont change scatter file it bricks the phone.
sometimes it gives error but try it once again and your phone will be rooted.
Got error for USB mass driver so did first with superOneclick and got my drivers and then finally Rooted with unlockroot.
keep njoying chainfire3d,superuser,reverse tethering and all

vaibhav Cool bro that you have ported ROM
try to fix main wifi and bluetooth as people prefer it more.

lol at micromax service centre... they said thet fixed my micromax bt when i went to recieve it, it was same as before...
they also had flashed it like i did..
now they are saying that it has to be sent to factory nd can take upto 10 days...
wtf...

if u or any one bricked your mmx a25 then dont or i will say never use any others mmx a25 cwm backup file cuz i have done it and all my bluetooth id,wifi id was lost, but thanks that i was havng the backup of that phone too so dont upload any backup for any one cuz its of no use instead flash stock rom uploaded in this thread and plsss help me getting fixed my network problem

it not lyk that, u need to reinsert your imei ( displayed on your phone ) thru mmx imei software available on their ftp site....
it will automatically correct your wifi nd bt problem too.

Please help me guys i rooted my MMX A25 succesfully.... however without taking back uo of my stock ROM i installed beats audio and after that the default music player force closes when i use the sound effect option which is not working due to beats audio replaced the drivers from root folder i formatted the fone yet the music soudeffect drivers are permanently replaced..... i need my stock music player working fully and properly please help.......

easyrobb how u rooted plz help me I tried via unlockroot3.1 but its saying mt65xx preloader not installed but I installed A25 driver over the internet via adb installer and no problem in device manager...plz help me......and sp flash tool work only in administrative mode??? becozz I open with 2x click not as administrator.n when I opened scatter file n getting error to load scattered file.

I am unable to flash anything on A25 from sp flash tool. I have used this software on many phones but whenever i connect A25, it starts charging. i tried many times but same result.
ERROR is:
BROM ERROR: S_BROM_CMD_FAIL (2005)

can anybody give me nandroid backup or flashable rom zip file which can be flashed via cwm?

after I have selected the scatter and boot.img file and clicked on download, I connected the phone. But I get an error message saying that BROM cannot be passed over usb...
I also disable da download all from option.....!!!!!

But there were Error....

Plzzz...... do something......

I think there were mistake in DRIVER installtion.....!!!!
plz clearly say me how & which driver install in my pc with image or detail Tutorials....

If it shows error related to DRIVERS NOT INSTALLED instead you have installed the drivers then do this
turn off your a25 and remove battery then go to device manager of your pc insert usb cable of your a25 in switched off state in device manager it will show mtk preloder click on that and install driver manually (install usb vcom driver {Available on Micromax Website}) now try to flash it will not show error.

I am try much times.....
but nothing happen....

it show me arror when click 2nd times on download button .."usb port not found"

can any one create step by step video of installing driver for root......???!!
