Hi Guys,
I have had my LG GT540 just over a year now and after a few battery draining issues i bought a new battery, but the same issues persisted, so then looking up on loads of sites, i realise that you can do so much more with your phone as long as its ROOTED!!!
My mobile already has firmware 2.1 and therefore there is no option in the hidden menu section (3845#*540#) etc.
I have read a few more articles about other things to download to enable you to ROOT your phone in other ways but they don't say exactly how to do it as if they presume you should already know!!
So if this matter has already been addressed in another post somewhere then i could just follow a link there.
But basically i want to know what i need to get to get ROOTED.
EG. what to download and once its downloaded where does the file go or get extracted to etc (on to pc or on to mobile SD card )
Any check boxes that need unchecking or checking etc and any other settings too.
I have also this morning done a factory reset so maybe that might have solved my original battery draining problem and switching off when battery not even used
Thanks Rick
