Root How to unlock?

I posted told a user about that on here be careful the sd wont mount but it good follow the directions but the sd wont work
 
I haven't tried it myself, just read the post a few times. I am still waiting for one of the brilliant devs we got here to make a specific bootloader unlock for our ms769. I am sure it will be soon, or some miracle will happen and LG will unlock it for us.

I did it on my first try, inserted files into directories at said time, once done flashing booted up all was mirrored...flashed radio zip for signal... looked like i wasn't gonna get any but it kicked in. Than I continued to wait exactly 35 mins. after that i ran command and it took me to menu and proceeded from there. If i remember correctly it rebooted and than i flashed the cwm inverted zip, all done.

Why not flash back to original firmware? :confused:
 
When ever i flash any device i know its hard to wait cause you wanna see what the dam thang looks like but i always give it 25-30 minutes .unless i see it bootloop then its EMERGENCY over here but just give it a few in the end you will be happy if its a good flash .
 
If u want to carrier just call tmobile if you have owned the phone for 60 dsyys and they will email the ucarrier unlock code with instructions. you can even do it with the tmobile sim in

Talking about the boot loader unlock, not SIM :p
Also, Metropcs version, not T-Mobile though they are exactly the same, just different bloatware.
 
I am kind of plying devils advocates. But I wasn't aware you could unlock a SIM but if you pm me How I d
appreciate it:D
 
Unlocking the bootloader allows a user to change various partitions of the device to customized versions of it, depending on the level of the lock. The partitions most often changed are the recovery, boot, and system partitions so that one can run a custom rom rather than the one provided by the manufacturer.

Sim unlocking is the process of removing the lock that keeps a phone on one particular gsm carrier. However at this current time, Sim unlocking a phone without permission from your carrier is against the law in the US. Because of this, we ask that the process to do so isn't discussed here.

Since this thread is about unlocking the bootloader, how about we get back on that topic eh? :)
 
There is a good video that's 30 min log on unlocking boot loader. I am a real noon and could follow it. Tells u how to unlock root, touch cwm and installing roms. Just type in unlock boot loader on lgl9 p769 only video 30 mins. It all so has all links for.what u need to do it
 
Ok, I flashed with the regular offline KDZ method, connected to wifi, waited 30 minutes. Still won't unlock and for some reason the root didnt take.

I got it to unlock my first try!? Over the infamous sammyz!? Lol let the phone sit on the European 20b software (with service so flash the radio.zip while in cwm) for about 45 minutes after the service shows up and do the adb command for unlock. It took me several tries of not working until I walked away and came back and voila! It worked..

Several tries? Oh gawd this is so complicated!
 
Wait. Why do we have to flash radio.zip? I was able to answer calls just fine with the messed up touch screen...

The radio is for service, if you have service already then good, just let the phone sit for around 45 minutes and try the unlock command again.

That is if your on the EU 20b kdz still!?
