Root How to use Rom Manager App?

Could someone give me a run thru on what you do after you have downloaded another Rom? I wanted to try the Cynogenmod Rom but I'm afraid something will happen since I am using KingxKernal. Thanks

Flash the rom, then flash the gapps in recovery

i don't use rom manager so I can't offer instructions on doing it that way but you might find this useful

creating nandroid backups and it goes over flashing roms
