HTC DROID Eris OS 2.1v3 download

If anyone was curious about app memory.

1.5 = 159 MB available memory
2.1 V1 = 143 MB available memory
2.1 V2 = 140 MB available memory
2.1 V3 = 138 MB available memory

Some of the issues reported in the leaks bugs and fixes thread, and elsewhere, were showing up weeks after installation.

I'm thinking that compatibility with various apps and or settings has been behind much of those posted complaints, but some seemed to be many-users-wide, meaning inherent in the unfinished product (which is what a leak is in some important ways).
 
my cell standby is at 38%, not sure exactly what that means, but that is what it is. i dont see any better reception then v2 (no more or less bars)
 
I am fighting the urge to install this since I'm still on 1.5 with the option to root. I'm starting to lose that fight...:confused:
 
I will download, host, and load this when I get home this evening.

So since this 3rd leak has the same bootloader as the first two, if a working downgrade is made, it will work for all three?
 
I find it interesting that there is so much blind trust with downloading and installing a leak for the 2.1 update.

for all u all know there is a major glitch in it which bricks ur phone. Anyways if theres a new updated leak I would assume that the offical update will be out very soon. You have any insight on that caddy?

When a member as well regarded as Caddy states that it is legit, and it didn't brick his phone, I feel comfortable doing it to my phone too.

I know exactly how you feel! but i felt this way since 2.1v2 came out, lost interest when i heard the complains and now that urge is right back with 2.1v3
 
im having an issue, it never asks me if i want to install the update. after booting up with volume down and power, the status bar loads and then i get the option for fastboot or recovery. can anyone help me with that?

If you aren't comfortable doing stuff to your phone or you have doubts about it then i always say the exact same thing.....don't do it.
