HTC Inspire Battery Experiences...

I did that last night as suggested by AndreaCristiano and so far today I've been unplugged for 6 hours and 5 minutes and my battery is at 73% . I used it pretty moderately this morning and have been in standby for a while ( studying for a test). So I mean it seems to work.

It definitely seems to work for me lol

Kind of crushed my testing on this today... Had an 1:30 hour support call today after posting this. It has brought me down to 30% since my last post roughly. Does that sound reasonable?

Yeah because I've noticed that if there is one thing that drains my battery very quickly and by a lot it is voice calls

Guys, you're also just starting to break in your battery. It takes a week or two to do this. You are beginning to experience the optiamal battery life. ;)

Would that have the same effect? If so is that how you are charging? I thought powered off.... :/ Either way I can use my old bb for alarm just in case.

Something new happened tonight. I have batteryminder to show me my percentage. My battery was down to 19% so I turned it off and put it on the charger. When I plugged it in the little battery came up on the screen (like it did last night when I charged it while it was off) and it said I had 10% battery left on there. It might have been off last night too but I honestly didn't pay attention. Why is it so off? Is battery minder wrong?

I think that when you plug it in while it is turned off, the charger indicator moves up in 10% increments. I've watched it over the last couple of nights, and it'll say "70%", then it doesn't say anything else (e.g. 74%, 76%, etc.) until it jumps to "80%".

So, since you had 19%, the next closest increment of 10 (without going over) would be 10%, which it showed on the charging battery icon. If you had been watching it for 10 or 15 minutes, I bet it would have shown 20% pretty quickly.

I could be wrong on all this, as I am no expert - it's just what I've noticed on mine.

I think you are right, because after I left it on the charger for a couple minutes I turned my phone on to try and see if the settings were off. Batteryminder told me it was at 23% and when I turned my phone off again it said 20%.

hmm, I'm wondering if maybe I have a lemon....

I have all the push notifications and syncing off, I like to manually do that stuff anyways. Brightness is low, maybe 30%. Almost always on WiFi unless I'm at school or out and about. I usually just text, maybe a couple hundred a day, but that's a lot. so average 150. Almost no email, maybe 10 minutes of phone calls, and about an hour and a half on the internet (I get bored in my classes haha) but that is on school WiFi and sometimes 3G. So nothing extreme I don't think.

Y'all suggest: turning the phone off at night while it charges, run it low for a while (into red), juice defender (I had it, but didn't notice anything change...maybe I was doing it wrong...). What else?

Are you sure you have all syncing turned off? I don't mean to insult you if you already know, but depending on what you've installed there are potentially several apps that auto sync.

lol, I take no offense. It's my first Android, so it is entirely possible I overlooked something. I have Background data and Auto Sync uncheked.

I also have a widget for Advanced Task Killer, and it'll kill apps I haven't opened. Like Engadget or Asphalt 5...

I'm not totally sure what is going on with my phone. Today the battery lasted right at 8 hours. Tired of fiddling with turning apps on/off etc... Now I have the screen rotation locking up on me... I really want to love this phone but with the battery life being this big of an issue I may have to try the atrix.

I don't understand how some of you guys are having such battery issues. Are you constantly meeting your phone lol. I have never gotten less than 10 hours. It is unbelievable to me that some of you are getting such low hours. There are only a few things I cab think off. Poor signal in your area. Bad settings and charging habits and finally touching your phone more often than your wife

Well I have a pretty good signal in my area, I have picked up your charging habits, and other sync options. I really can't tell you what is so different Andrea. Do you think a total restore of the phone would help or just a replacement?
