Help HTC Peep

For some reason my Peep is no longer working.....won't allow me to sign in using my twitter acct details.

A.y clues?
 
No issues here. I use Twicca but I can access my Twitter account using Peep or Facebook for Android with no problems.
 
I have the same problem. I log out this morning of Peep and have since not been able to log back in despite being able to do so via mobile.twitter.com and the official Twitter app. Has anyone had any luck resolving the issue?
 
Hey i jus got a htc desire today and ive got the same problem either says wrong password & user name or just stays on the signing in screen for ages any help would be nice thanks :confused::confused::confused:
 
interesting, i know that twitter have recently changed their sign in api, wonder if this is the issue?
 
I have this problem as well with Peep and the HTC twitter widget. It says: "Unable to sign in. You entered an incorrect username or password" when I try to sign in.

I can sign into twitter via the webpage and also the official twitter app so I'm positive that my username and password are correct.

This problem also occurrs when I try to sign into my yahoo email account via the HTC Mail app and widget. So this may be a problem with HTC apps and/or widgets rather than just Peep.
 
I was reading yesterday that Twitter had killed the use of basic authentication for 3rd party apps. Peep along with a few others do not appear to support the new 'OAuth' authentication that is now required. Lets hope HTC get their finger out and release an update!
 
At first I noticed my FriendStream crapped out. After I unsynced my accounts I got FaceBook to work on it but not Twitter. The Twitter Account will not let me login, thus what I think caused FriendStream to crash and Peep to not work. Hello HTC!

my htc peep gadget isnt showing my twitter updates or any of the people im following ever since a couple of days ago,weird!!!,dont know what to do
 
Glad to see I'm not the only one, but damn this has caused me some serious frustration! I hope someone does something soon!
 
I was happily using peep on my HTC desire until 29 March 2011 (two days ago). Then it - and HTC's friend stream - stopped updating. I was staying somewhere without wifi and a poor mobile connection, but it's no better now I've got wifi again. I tried deleting all the details and restarting it, and now, as others have found, it says I'm using the wrong username and/or password. I have since installed tweetdeck, which I use happily on other (Windows) 'puters; but I'd like to know why peep won't work.
 
I too am having the same problem. A few days ago Peep just stopped updating, so I tried clearing the account but now I can't even sign in. I'm using the official Twitter app now but I'd rather use Peep so I don't have to waste memory space with an extra. app.
Anyone else with this problem right now?
 
It's happened to me too, it seemed to stop at about 1800 (BST) on Friday. I've tried logging out and back in but it doesn't recognise my username/password.

It's the same as happened at the top of this thread last year... have Twitter changed anything this time?
