HTC Thunderbolt, meet the Rezound 1620mAh

Looks like its out of stock. Add to wishlist is the only option available. I take that back. Still 19.99 after you select device compatibility and add to cart. fyi: I might have quoted the wrong person.

So the sale is still on? I never got to head to the store last night, so I wasn't sure if the sale was over today.

Take it off when it's fully charged. It will not lose anything initially, but may drop a percent or two after it's old. Takes a long time to do that.

In terms of what charger to buy, is it like the wall chargers where it pays to buy a OEM unit vs. an aftermarket?

Anyone notice any issue with the voltage on the rezound being 3.8v and the stock and all after market batteries bring 3.7v?

Or does anyone know if this would cause an issue like overheating the phone or anything?

3.8 shouldnt be an issue. If you went 3.6 then you'd have an issue.

Websale is still good. Would imagine store sale, as well.

I never thought about buying a charger. Will the OEM that comes with the thunderbolt work?

For anyone wondering if they should get this, I think its definitely worth the $20. I got 1.5-2 hrs more out of this than I did out of the stock battery.

I got 15 hours today with maybe 6 hours or so on 4G and the screen on max brightness. And I have all my syncs at maximum frequency.

With the rezound battery? Nice.

I always wonder for those who complain about horrible 4g battery if they are at 1 bar. Because i can last the whole day and come home and go to bed at 2am with 30-40 on my battery. Now if i can come home with 40-50? awesome, maybe a few more with the rezound battery? Awesome.

I've read on a couple different forums about extremely slow charging with the Rezound battery. Is anyone having this problem?

I should be getting mine in the mail today, and was curious if those that are having problems are wiping stats before charging? I figure it would make sense if you just throw it in and your phone is saying its charged at 'x' when you still have 15% to go. Those last 15% or so would definitely take a while..

Will Astro, or another non-root file explorer allow you access to data>system>batterystats.bin?

Deleting or erasing that file is the same as wiping stats. Might be worth a shot?

Was that with moderate or heavy usage? Calls, Texts, Games, Music, Browsing? :-)

Moderate for me. Maybe 30 minutes of music, maybe an hour of very light (forums, etc.) browsing. No heavy GPU games, but maybe 45 minutes of word games and puzzle games. No texts. Maybe 10 minutes of calls. I was at Legoland with the kids and waiting for an important email, so I turned on the screen every time one came in.

Would have got a lot more with the screen turned down...I think it was about 60% of the usage, lol. But man it is better turned up.

I think this battery is really good. There is more to batteries than just their amp hour rating. It may have lower internal resistance, for example, that give it better high temperature performance. I am just glad they got lazy and cheap and cribbed the battery bay design from the TB.

So far im impressed with the rezound battery. I put it in at 7 and left the house to help my neighbor out. The phone was at 42 and typing this at 10:30 its still at 42. I sent 3 txts at 3 different times and listened to music for about a minute and had it on for misc for maybe another minute. Nothing huge but i'd have been at 38/39 with the old battery.

edit

after more testing. The standby time is pretty splendid on this battery. In 8 hours i lost 5% battery vs 8% on the stocker. Unfortunately, as of now, it doesn't seem like I've gained any increase in battery when the phone is on. Even though it sure seems like it. Doing the constantly running screen test. I got exactly 5 minutes of life before i lost a percent. 40% screen brightness. I'm pretty sure on stocker i got a few seconds over 5 minutes.
