HTC Vigor err Rezound's battery life?

I heard somewhere that the Thunderbolt batteries will fit with the Rezound, but then I also heard they won't work because TB batteries are 3.7v and RZ are 3.8v. Can anyone tell me if this is true at all?

The Rezound will throw out an error message, the Thunderbolt works fine with the Rezound battery however. Your best bet is to leave the Thunderbolt batteries out of the Rezound.

I wonder if the apparently good battery life for the Rezound has anything to do with the more stable and better reception 4G of the Rezound that Mobiletechreview reported?

They stated that the Rezound picked up 4G in places where the Bionic and Razr would not and it also does not bounce 3G/4G like those devices. The lady that did the review also commented she owns a Bionic and the Rezound was better with 4G reception. Bionic and Razr have same LTE.

The back plating on the Rezound probably has more Copper which helps with reception. I'm also curious to see which phone's GPS locks faster since that's a big deal for me, when I'm driving around with the Navigation app, I hate that I've probably passed a few restaurants because the GPS signal hasn't locked yet.

As far as battery, it's nice that someone's finally starting to say what I've been saying for a long time, 4G will drain more battery when you're downloading, but just idle unless it's bouncing around, it won't be that big a deal (unless the Rezound has handoff issues which was a big problem with the Thunderbolt before a software update fixed it).

I'd rather it went the whole length of the phone too, granted it's going to look like a phone with a gland problem but the case on this one has a ridged lip on it if I saw it correctly...

Yeah, based on the pic below, it doesn't go completely around. I'm not sure I like it with the lip. I'd rather have it taper off around the edges like a pyramid, and not a ridge.

Dang. The Rezound is already almost as thick as my Droid 3 with extended battery. This would make it one chunky monkey. Quasimodo

Think I'd still go with extended though... that's a tough choice.

Or you can go with a spare battery. That's the route I took just because I don't want the extra bulk, and not sure if anyone has checked yet, but what are the chances that the extended case has all the Copper connections on the back that the original has? One other thing, with the extended battery people on the Thunderbolt forum were complaining that it was killing their signal.

It doesn't. If you go here:
Hands-on with HTC Rezound Extended Battery

you can see that there is nowhere near the copper contacts on it as there is on the stock battery door. As far as the wireless charging door, their site has no pic of the inside of it, so there is no way to know if they skimped on the copper for it as well.

So I guess it's a spare battery for me if I go that route. I'll probably see how the battery lasts before jumping on a second one. Mainly since it's seems to be doing pretty well on battery life in 4G, and for the forseeable future I'll be using it on 3G (no 4G here yet). So I may not need a spare in that case.

Just an FYI, the Verizon face-in clip case for the Rezound is designed for the extended battery. Wiggles a little bit if you use the standard battery instead. It's good to see that Verizon is at least including some case alternatives to support the extended battery.

I'm more scared of the reports that the extended battery door adversely affects signal strength
