Help HTC White Boot Screen

I hate to be this guy. Yes, I have already looked at the other solutions on the forum and tried each one that I could figure out how to do. Here is the situation. I bought an HTC Evo 4g as a backup about 15 months ago. It worked (from my sister-in-law). I threw it in a box and never touched it. Well, now I am going to sell both my Evo's as a package. I went to boot this one up and I get the white screen of death (htcEvo4g on the screen). This phone has never been rooted or unlock and always had the stock rom. Yes the battery is charged to 100 percent also.

When I enter boot loader I see:

Supersonic EVT2-3 ship s-on
Hboot-0.97.0000
Microp-041f
Touch Panel-atmelc03_16ac
Radio-2.15.00.09.01

Fastboot options

Bootloader
Reboot
reboot bootloader
powerdown

Hboot options

fastboot
recovery
clear storage
simlock
hboot usb

Recovery does not work. It just goes back to the white screen. I have tried every other option and none of them work.

I have put the pc36img on the microSD card with both the zip ext and without it. Never is recognized and I am never given the chance to update. Also, I have a PB99img on there also and it is not recognized.

Now, I need you to treat me like I am an idiot to fix this. I did do my own root on the HTC Hero and flashed my own rom. I also rooted my other Evo and was using Flipz Fresh rom. Those all worked fine. But, I followed step-by-step instructions. So, if you start saying ADK or HTC sync and do this and do that... I will have no idea where to find that file or what you are talking about. So, the instructions need to be simple.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Yes, I did run clear storage and no help.

I think things have gotten worse. I was able to run a RUU and it got to 87-89 percent complete and it erred and now the phone will not even turn on.

What ruu did you run, was the version of the hboot newer? Running a ruu of 4.54 would be good

I seem to be having the exact same (white screen) problem all the sudden. I flashed a new rom a couple hours ago and I was in the middle of restoring all my apps/data/etc. My Backup Pro restored everything and I held the power button down to reboot and now it won't go past the white screen. No idea why....or how to fix it.

Boot into recovery, wipe cache and dalvik cache and reboot.
