Root Huawei Ascend Mate Root guide

Worked all good for me. The only thing I had to do differently was restart the phone after checking the "Root" tickbox to get my Superuser Icon to come up

4 connect usb to you phone
5 open file gaps and click install.bat
6 after that it will auto restart and update
7 on home screen it crash u must restart it ok
8 press power+vol+ vol- it'll still work befor boot it not vibrate
9 wipe data factory reset after that wipe cache pardition and reboot
10 if it not ok u will wipe cache pardition frist after that
wipe data factory reset
11 i hope u will ok bye bye guy

I see that your version is specialized since it contains an install.bat file.

I could not find another source for the USB drivers, though, and would be curious as to what the original source is/was if you know.

Best of luck to all and remember to always make a Nandroid backup before modifying your currently installed setup so you can fall-back should anything happen.

Requirement:
- Huawei Ascend Mate phone stock
- Driver for the phone. If you don't have it down load it https://www.dropbox.com/s/4qoacn4hqqw9h5v/WinDriver.exe

Root your phone:

- Enable ADB debugging on your phone
Go to Settings -> Developer options - > USB debugging and turn it on
- Download the package https://www.dropbox.com/s/0pblr115dr2l4zt/MATE_ROOT.zip

- Unzip the package you downloaded and click on "open it ROOT_MATE)

- An MS DOS window appears then click any key to continue

your phone will reboot and wait for the MS window said "successful and enjoy it" and click any key to finish.


- Download this file https://www.dropbox.com/s/omgdr4zkn224l9q/RootAssistantV2.0.apkand manually install it ( You must enable Unknown sources from your phone setting in order to install this file)

- After installing the file you will see the app with the wrench image click on it.

And you will see the Root option untick, tick it

Then the super user icon will show on your phone. That's it.


Install Google Play service on Huawei Ascend Mate:

Download the following zip file https://www.dropbox.com/s/ubql19m4k7y15ab/play_store_huawei.zip and extract them, then copy them to the internal storage or external SD card on your phone.

Using the file manager and go to the folder where you copied the extracted file to your phone. Manually install the Google play service first then Google play store. Now you can access the Google play store.

Thanks for the Rooting Guide however I am unable to download the files from the Dropbox links and getting 509 error, saying it generated too much traffic hence it has been blocked

I registered to post the files, I don't know if they are the same, i got them from a different site with similar instructions, and the same exact file name, and plan on using them on a Huawei G525 tonight.

Zipped File size is 5,935 KB
Hopefully it is the correct zip file.

When I try to download the files for rooting, it says : nothing is here, the file you are looking for has been moved or deleted.
