I take no credit and or blame for these steps, just found them via google.

Have your already made your LG Ally update? Recently, one of  my friends have gotten his lg ally software update to v9 software. In order to give a favor to these all Verizon LG Ally users, he shared his steps here. Or you can obtain this LG Phone update software for  your LG Ally here.

Ok, try to update your LG Ally to v9 software with the following step:

To download the VS740ZV9_04.S9_04.P58006.cab and save to your C drive.
To download lg utils 0.4.2 update software and save to your C drive.
Make a new folder labeled VS740.
Place both files that you

NOTICE: THIS IS NOT THE OFFICIAL UPDATE THAT WAS JUST RELEASED VIA LG OTA THIS IS THE OLD V9 ROM THAT WAS RELEASED PREMATURELY AROUND THE SAME TIME AS V8. DO NOT UPGRADE TO V9.

THE NEWEST VERSION IS VS740ZVB NOT VS740ZV9

That is from my guide i posted forever ago. it is NOT the new update. it was the v9 that was mistakenly released when v8 came out. The actual update will be a zip file. not a cab file. The v9 update breaks alot of things. Root, camera, rebooting. etc.

Yea I didn't think this was real because the date is old, just wasnt sure. I didnt own an android phone that long ago so I'm kinda new to the scene, heres a link to the original thread so you know I didnt steal your post.
