If you look at his post he is quoting me where I linked the screenshot, although apparently he never looked at the screen shot because he is trying to tell me that it rolls out today even though that is exactly what the screen shot that I posted says which is why I posted it...

First let me say how glad I am that you are brave enough to post. Well done!

This was a good question and I'm glad you asked it. No one will jump down your throat. If they do? Hit the report button and they will be dealt with by the mods.

We welcome and encourage new people and their posts. I think your post is fine. Keep up the good work! Also, don't worry, at this point, about posting a thread that may have to be merged. Don't let that stop you. You'll learn the ropes. I'm still learning! I make mistakes all the time! Keep it up, your doing great!
 
Keep at it and soon you too can have 7,500+ posts.

Also, biggest benefit of Froyo in my mind is the performance increase.
 
UPDATE: 20 more minutes went by and I dropped 2%....Let us recap...First 20 minutes I drop 10 percent....next 20min...2percent lost...

Why would a software update adjust/remove a security feature? This has been addressed many times before. The phone will not charge to 100% while on to prevent voltage fluctuations that could damage the components of the phone, including the battery. This isn't going to change, especially not through a software update.
 
I'm with the OP, thread is valid. Yes, the website for the Incredible on VerizonWireless.com has said 2.2OS since yesterday, this is the first real "announcement"
 
I find it humorous that Froyo comes out the day before my local Verizon Android Gathering (the only one to every happen?) happens where they will be doing classes to teach you about your phone and what it's capable of. Namely the Droid, Droid X, and Droid Incredible.

Nothing ever happens here in Wilmington NC EVER. I knew something was up.

Sorry I spose I did not do my research...Why the hell don't other phones have this issue? Why don't they just make it so it reads 92% as 100% etc...I can think of plenty of ways to do this in a software update.
