I got the update this morning. I'm in PA near Philly right now. Phoned seemed to lag a bit after the update. Did a factory reset and reinstalled my apps. So far so good. Need to test call quality though!
 
Ok.. I'm driving myself nuts here trying to follow along and figure out what I need to do..

I have an unrooted DInc, the only change/modification I made was updating the the 2.x radio a few weeks back (baseband 2.05.00.06.11).. I also apparently missed the May update since I am on Build 1.36.605.0. So 2 strikes against me...

What do I do in order to clean up and get Froyo (preferably without a clean wipe, but will if I need to).

In order to go back to the 1.x radio, I need S-off? Do I need to root to do that? (I found the Wiki Site, but do I need to do ALL of that.. I never intended to root..?)

My heads going to explode from reading and trying to understand 3 levels of what I need to do.. Ugh
 
Hopefully that netflix app that the *phone got will be coming soon. Streaming movies, as far as I understand.

Oh yeah, sorry OP kind of went away from your post.

chapter 11 means nothing when it comes to big corporate names. BB has been in the dumps for a while, but ch11 is nothing but procedure. I bought my camaro on the very day GM filed chapter 11 and well that was over 14 months ago and now they are paying off their federal loans.

After syncing with appbrain and making my own local backup with mybackup I went ahead and allowed the system to install the update. The upshot is.....that...this thing is awesome ! I have experienced no browser lag or lag of any type whatsoever. Flash 10.1 turns this thing into a near laptop replacement. I experienced no lag or chop in Flash either...it's simply brilliant. Wireless n speed is phenomenal ( if you have an n capable network). They have done away with the little 'keyboard off' button in favor of using the left arrow instead..saves keyboard space and makes spacebar a bit larger...I think it's a good improvement. Downloaded Voice actions and Chrome to Phone....unbelievable! Quadrant score is now 1170...was 553 with 2.1. Overall... the phone and all of its functions feel snappier. I am sure that some things are not perfect yet but in general most everything is better in this update...so don't worry. It seems they are ramping up the speed of the rollout so I hope that it will be coming to the rest of you soooooon and thanks to all of you for being a great source of information for everything Incredible....It's been a wild ride to get here but now.....ENJOY

strange, i got the update and my stock keyboard remains having the hide keyboard button
 
Got it, but didn't. Notification popped up this morning, I hit the button to update, the phone froze, reset, viola...no update. Awesome.
"Your phone is currently up to date" Grrrrrrr....
 
It broke my data service. :( Every other time I reboot, I lose data. I fear I'm going to have to go to the VZW store.

It also make VCast Media Manager pop up every time I plug my phone into my computer which is insanely annoying. I just might cry right now.
 
Probably a dumb question, but if I applied the update for the radio/hotspot/etc, will I get the OTA for Froyo or do I need to roll back to stock?
 
got my update at about 10:45am

had to tell it "not now" a few times since I was in class and didn't know if it would make noise.

Was able to get back to update by going (phone info -> update)

Honestly 2.2 doesnt seem different.
