Root I need a new rom

well that is all a matter of opinion. i think that mikg3.11 is great. is there any issues. or r you just bored?

there are plenty of ics roms out now as well.

not really sure what you are looking for. best thing to do is head on over to EVO 4G Android Development - xda-developers and make a nandroid backup and try some of them then let us know what you think of them.

As OCN stated, your going to have to tell us what you are looking for in a ROM. There are HUNDREDS of ROM choices out there.

If you want sense-based I'd give Tommy's Classic a go

What issues are you having with MikG? You'll be hard pressed to find a better ROM.
 
I'm getting bored of it add is been getting slower and it freezes up and goes to the start up animation and get stuck there
As far as what ROM I want I have no idea LOL i really don't know the difference betweenthem I want something that i could make a lot of changes to

well as far some of the issues with mikg try and wipe dalvik cache and cache and see if that helps. but if you are getting bored then you have at least some suggestions so far. main thing though is to read the op and look for the changelog as well as any info on issues and such.
 
Maybe it's time to try an AOSP ROM. Speed typically isn't an issue w/ AOSP, I would underclock my Evo to 768 on CM7 and it would feel faster/snappier than when I was overclocked to 1152 on a Sense ROM. I would recommend CM7 or CM7.1. There's a little bit more tinkering that needs to be done to it, but in the end it's worth it.
 
I have been a Mikg guy since I rooted, and started noticing lag/freezing issues like you. Granted it is a solid rom, which my wife uses as her daily..I needed something else. I am currently on AOKP ICS milestone 4, build 33. rom from xda..it has been very stable for me..granted it needed a little more "tinkering" than a sense rom, and there are no fancy widgets like on sense, but I like it more!

cm7.1 is an aosp rom. also at the top of the aosp section is a link for gapps with sprint's visual voice message app cooked in.

amd you might need to do this fix to get gps working correctly:

just flash the fist qualcomm drivers listed.

Ok maybe a dumb question but i just downloaded the cm7. is there anything i should get with it and i dont mean the kernel because i have that also. but like i wanna make the phone cool as hell.
 
Not sure what you want to make it cool but, like Rxpert said, everybody is different. If you're talking about the looks, your phone is an open book regardless of what rom you are on. Check out some of the threads where people have posted screen shots of their phones, it will blow your mind what some people have pulled off!!

Im running CM7 now. and when i say cool yea pretty much appearance wise for now
 
Another easy way to find themes is to simply go to the (Google play) market. They have many free themes that you can download for cm7 (or any aosp rom.) You just need to use theme chooser which is included as an app in your cm7 app drawer. Just download the themes you want from the market, go into theme chooser (the new themes will show up as an option there,) and apply the theme you downloaded. Really easy.
 
Just a recap. I. Love CM7. Found a pretty decent theme for now. I bought anim mod so that makes it real cool. I put the CPU down and its still running real fast which is awesome. Still messing with things. Trying to find out more thing to do with it to keep changing it up but really love it
 
I will be looking out for something new here soon for Deck's 1.3d. Looks like there are a few people, namely Jamie, ropodope.....and a few others, doing something exciting and making one of the best aosp builds ever even better:D
