I think im hard bricked

I was running CM10 stable at first. so i was on google and happen to see 4.2.2 stable cm10.1 for the t989. I just had to flash it. i spent 3 hours reading and watching videos on how o do it correctly. First i did darkside wipe, then i flashed another kernal ( the one for the att version i think) and installed the t989 rom and the gapps. the phone flashed a blue samsung logo for 2 seconds then it just went black. it wont turn on,vibrate, charge,or anything.
i have a feeling I've been hard bricked. Is there any way I could get it fixed?
I read online about jtag service but i dont have $50 to spare or just laying around.

#1 i wanted to know if im hard bricked
#2 i wanted to know if a jtag would fix it
#3 if so, is it anywhere i could send it for about $20-$30?:help::help::help::help::help:

Ouch, that doesn't sound good. Is there a service center near you? It might be worth just taking it in and letting them see what they can do. I really couldn't tell you if the jtag solution would work for you.

When i plug it to the computer i get the sound that its been pluged in but its the failed to load driver / connect sound

Honestly, I don't know. I've never done it. Sorry. Maybe someone else can chime in here.

When i plug it to the computer i get the sound that its been pluged in but its the failed to load driver / connect sound

Have you tried a USB jig?

no not yet , but ive read other people in a similar problem and all of them said usb jig dint work

Yeah, the USB jig doesn't work very often if the hard brick is related to the bootloader. That's what the JTag is suppose to help you fix, by allowing you the option to flash a clean bootloader and thus allow you access to Odin mode.

ive noticed that if i plug it up to the computer and hold vol down vol up and power it makes the fail sound if i let them go it makes the disconnected sound . hold the buttons again while keeping the phone plugged up it makes the sounds again but blank screen

Try this ... make sure the phone is off (pull the battery). Then with the phone off, hold only the vol. down button and plug in the USB cable. Wait a few seconds ... Anything?

nope nothing but the computer noise ( fail to recognize ) if i plug it with no battery and hold the power button tho the computer repeatedly makes the connection failed / disconnected noise

Hi Bann. Do you have Odin on your PC? If not, download it from that link. Make sure your phone is unplugged and pull the battery. Start Odin, put in your battery, hold both volume buttons and then plug in your phone. Keep holding the volume buttons for a few seconds. Does one of the boxes in the top of Odin light up yellow? If so, press your top volume button once, download one of the latest stock ROM from that link and follow instructions to install.

That's just a shot in the dark. If it doesn't work, check with mobiletechvideos.com for their JTAG service, but yes, it will cost $50 plus shipping.

Only if you're willing to risk it not working and having to pay someone else to fix it for you anyway. I'm not saying that it won't work, only that there are no guarantees.

I did a search for t989 jtag on ebay and found some for 35$ with good feedback. I should I give them a lot try?

If you go with someone on eBay, just be sure you check them out thoroughly first. You don't want to send your phone and not get it back.

ok :) thank you guys so much. oh and i think i flashed a Samsung Galaxy S II i777 (AT&T version) kernal . in device manager my phone comes up as qhsusb_dload device.

From what I've found qhsusb_dload device means the phone is in Qualcomm high speed USB download mode and that often appears for hard bricked phones. The good news is that JTAG will probably fix it.

They sound reputable but that's really going to be your decision based on the research you've done. Its your money. :) Let's us know what you decide and how it goes.
