Yeah I really like that first one as well. I like the last one I linked too. Now I just need to figure out how to get the guts from my baby into one of those and I'll be all set =D

Both are nice but the front profile of that first one is bad ass! Gonna save that link for my next build!!

JK. I really like the design on the side of it. The reviews say it's pretty big. Do you think I'd be able to shove mine in there?

I'm concerned about my multi-reader as well. I dunno how that looks inside so I dunno how that would work getting it into a new case. I REALLY like my multi-reader.

Definitely a big NO on the multi-reader. The front panel of it is part of the tower. You can get a replacement though, they are pretty cheap.

And YES i can tell your bored :p

So I went back and read all my responses again and I'm a little confused. The case itself has those wires that I have to try to connect to the MB? Or is that only if I get a case that comes with a power supply? I understand that the case will need some way to get power to the lights but I don't know how that works.

Still like the first one better. And i will check but you will have to mess with the cords that control power button, hdd led, reset switch(if applicable), etc. I've had them not match up before on a total custom build before which was the first and only time that happened. In that case i plugged in the power button cord and hdd led and left the other two off, doesn't hurt anything.
 
I'm at work too....but I am having fun going to the different sites and look at tower cases....I have a tower that's all lit up....I wonder if I have pictures online...

The case will have those wire on them. The power source isn't an issue imo. And you can take the card reader out but the face plate is part of your towers front panel. I got one for 15 bucks from microcenter, didn't fit perfectly but it was a cheapy(also was a low budget build)

And +1 to having someone to talk to!! LOL
 
jwp1223, the lights down the sides of the front kinda look like one of the pics of a case that I liked =D

It sucks cause the wires are small but its not bad, what would help is if you took a pic of the wires in question. I think you/we could make it work. I'll take a look at the insides of mine since they are very similiar. I don't think it would be all that complicated.

Allow me to elaborate, coming from the tower is usually 4 t-pin connectors. One is power button, one is hdd led, one is reset button, one is power led. If needs be a couple of those don't really need plugged in if you can't them in there.... Make anymore sense?
 
I'll open her up tomorrow and get some shots so you can take a peak.

That's very cool. I was looking at one similar to that but the case itself had a pink tint. I wouldn't mind a case like that with pink LEDs instead of blue =)

With that note, I'm gonna pop into the forum games section one more time and then be off to bed. Thanks for all the info so far!!!
