Can you use an Iph*ne as a mass storage drive? Can you replace your battery? Can you add memory? You would have to jailbreak just to do half the sh*t an android can do out-of-the-box.
I'm not a fanboy of either company but, from my point of view, with their latest os update, it seems they are playing catch-up.

YES and YES...add memory YES you mean like we have to root the phone to get all the features. Look to say one is better then other it comes down to the point of view of the user. period and that will always be true. What i hate is this fanboy crap from both sides. Each is great on their own but to declare a total ruling phone thats just dumb.
 
I was going to say something but i decided to not get involved because some of the statements about the iphone made me laugh things it can do that it really cant LOL

What can the iphone do that android cannot??? And if you are gonna say talk n web at the same time, thats GSM and not the iphone there.

who the heck said talk and surf is a iphone feature? that's a carrier feature. Seriously when it comes to fanboism this place is getting as bad as endgaget.

Thats kewl, but not the same as slipping in a sdcard ;)

I dont dislike the iphone really, its a nice piece of tech, and solidly built like all apple products. But it is not the be all have of all cell/smart phones by no means regardless what its fan base wants to think. lol

I had an iphone, switched to android about 2 years ago. Iphone always seemed too restrictive too me even when jailbroken. you can do much more with a rooted android.

I know bro my apologies if i came out strong. I just hate fanboism it tarnishes everything it touches. I love both companies Apple and Google thats why i never take sides. I love Apples way of taking care of its customers and love google way of thinking and applying their OS's. Both of those companies have revolutionize our world. Same goes for Microsoft.

And Metro doesn't want to give updates that might hinder new phone sales. If the Optimus M got Gingerbread, that blows Samsung Admire and HTC Wildwire out of the water. Optimus cost $99, if you buy it now. But others already OWN it. No need to go buy a new phone as Gingerbread is more responsive and has better features than Froyo. Optimus gets Gingerbread, that's like getting a new phone.

So, Metro is not going to let LG give the Optimus M a gingerbread update. They want to sell new phones to get Gingerbread and now even Ice Cream Sandwich.

The only reason the Ascend got Froyo was because it was on Eclair -- too far behind. So Metro let Ascend get Froyo to make that crappy phone act a little better.
 
I am looking forward to porting ICS to my, still un-arrived, LG 4 Connect from Metro. If its as a ROM update, then so be it. Don't you all hate when NEW phones are released with a -not so new- operating system.

As Peter Griffin would have said, it really grinds my gears.
