The custom app on the lockscreen thingy is indeed on virtuous RC3.

I know a fix for the virtuous rc3 camera black screen bug ( basically a black screen as you open the camera), but I'm not sure if you can try it on IceColdSandwhich but well here's the link for the virtuous camera bug

thats why i love this forum, some always has a answer to your problem with a side helping of humor, :D nice one guys, so easy now i know,

dont spose can shed any light on getting rid of duplicate contacts, or is that gonna have to be the good old fashion way,

i knew i had seen some thing about the quick launch icons some where :D;)
 
in people app, hit menu and "contacts to display" - this will then let you choose where the contacts are shown from
 
Having only been running this since Tuesday night, I am not overly impressed at the moment, which is a shame, as I REALLY want to like it, but I unplugged this morning when I got out of bed (about 7.15) and my battery is already @ 84% - all I've done is add a few app shortcuts, one or two widgets and had a couple of emails come through, which I've looked at and deleted. I have to admit, I do leave WIFI on all the time, but I don't generally have mobile data on.

What's everyone else found battery life to be like? Xyro - you said you've been using it as your daily ROM... which version is it the Virtuous Quattro or IceColdSandwich that you run?
 
I'm in Ice Cold Sandwich 1.2. My battery life when I'm at home has been good at about two days max (wifi on all day). When I'm out I'm getting half that (6 hours today and I'm at 75), but that drop seems pretty normal really.
 
I'm on the same version... have had it on since just after 7 this morning and am on 61% - not quite as bad as I thought, but I haven't been using the phone much, as I'm @ work.

Is it possible to use LorD's UV scripts that I was using with his kernel on CM7? Have been trying to find the info everywhere but, so far, haven't been able to! :o
 
On my DHD running virtuous quattro RC3, I get a lot better battery life than I had on CM7.
Lasts 15 hours (of which 2 hours gaming 1 hour facebook/texting, 2.5 hours listening music)
 
Mmm... may be worth a look. I'm gonna leave it for now, as I've pretty much got it set up how I want it at the moment!!

Not sure where the links for it are, but I think it's compatible.

Just spent most of the evening setting up the last 1.2 test version and he goes and releases 1.3 just as I finish! Least he says it can be flashed directly over the top of 1.2 (it even clears the cache and Dalvik cache for you, how kind!). Fill your boots here.

Thought I would share the average battery life for me on VQ RC3 (granted, there was a couple of times I charged it briefly :p)

There is also a bug where the clock just stops at random times, as you can see below it says 07:48 when it is now 18:49 :rolleyes: I just haven't bothered to reboot my phone since then

It also seems to do crazy things when charging, such as this -

I know sometimes it jumps suddenly when charging up to 100%, but that time it jumped 20% instantly :eek: Pretty strange IMHO
 
I just flashed Ice Cold Sandwhich from Virtuous quattro RC3 to see which one I preffer. But I came across a 2 problems on Ice cold sandwhich, some of the options on trebuchet settings just don't work? I press on it but nothing comes up and the percentage option for the battery icon doesn't work either.

I was also wondering is it possible for this rom to have the TV effect when locking the screen which virtuous quattro has and CM7 as far as I know.

The lockscreen issue is a bug that occurs in landscape mode, I believe and has now been fixed in 1.3 test 2

I just downloaded this one ---->IceCold downlaods

For the test version would I have to do a factory reset or can I just flash it normally so that all my settings and stuff are saved?

Do a backup in recovery, just in case, but you can just flash it over the top of previous version. Took me all of 15 minutes and all my settings were as before, apart from a couple of Market updates required :D.

Yeah everything's fixed :D, now I'll judge whether to keep ice cold sand which on battery life.

Edit: actually I just noticed my phone doesn't vibrate when I receive messages. It does any other time.
 
cant say i come across any probs as of yet, did try to put the honeycombe ics battery icon but just doesnt seem to work, cant seem to find a good camera app that works or a video player,

update....

rite got the honeycombe battery bar to work but reads incorrect, how ever all the other battery options work fine and correct,

yeah i noticed this too but found that it turns the vibrate setting off when u flash update over it
