Root ICS is here!

All good mate... think it's about time for bed though... early start again tomorrow!

Gonna try to get ICS on to the DHD tomorrow (at work if I can).

Catch you soon!!

Come join the party! Though I'm about to crash, you know, old age and all that. When I were a lad....

Was just thinking of doing the same toby, dont know if i'm tired or just bored with the complete and utter lack of activity over at the XE plazza:D

Well... couldn't get it on whilst at work, but am currently charging my phone, so I can get it on there tonight!

Only spotted a couple of minor issues so far. On the first couple of pages of the app drawer, the text below each app was unreadable with bits missing. That has somehow cleared itself now without the need for a reboot. There are still some options in the Trebuchet setting that aren't populated or enabled. I've had the phone in my pocket most of the day, without using it much and after 12 hrs use, currently showing at 61% battery.

Edit: Hardware touch buttons at the base of the phone also do not light up when the phone is on.

The text corruption is something that will happen every now and then. A reboot will always fix it though, in my experience.

Apologies chaps, just a quick test seeing as Tapatalk is back up and running on the forum :D

And you have your tapatalk signature off. Good man ;)

Well... it's on and I'm just restoring things... let's see how this behaves over the next couple of days... looks nice so far!!

Yep... wanted to do a final backup with TB before moving over... went back in to CM7 and did it and have now gone back to ICS.

Have had a look at the buttons and can confirm that they are not lighting up, as you have said!

im really keen on trying this but still think i want to wait for stable version, tho im getting itchy fingers....

I think you need to toggle autobrightness a few times until the buttons start working again. They are working fine on mine.

Nice... will give it a bit of a go... just getting things to how I want them first. How long you been running this one Xyro? Is it your daily ROM?

By all accounts, this is supposed to be quite good. From what I've been reading, there aren't too many issues.

That said, I have tried taking some photos and have noticed a bit of what sems like flare at the top of the screen (or left when I take pics in landscape). Not a deal braker for me, as I don't use the camera very often... gonna have to try one of the other camera apps I have, as I've only tried the stock one! :)

That works for me, until the phone screenlocks again, then it's back to as it was before. Will mess about with some other settings.

Yeah... just played with the setting and then saw this post... locked the screen and went back and they had lost light again. Will have a bit of a mess myself and see if I can't work it out!
