Root ICS Messaging (Question)

Hi all. I have a question, if i were to replace the stock metro PCS messaging app with the ICS Messaging from the market will it still work. Like if i flash it as the primary messaging app. I want to use that instead of the stock app. Thanks!

Nothing from ICS as far I know will work on GB. I tried using the gallery once and even that wouldnt work.

I used the ICS messenger app as well as the stock one together. Dunno about uninstalling the stock one....

ahhh. In that case you would probably be correct. Most ICS or Jellybean apps I try to use give me a parsing error and wont even display an icon in a file explorer

yup, same thing happens to me.

That ICS camera in the market is so garbage its not even funny. it's pathetic to even call it a camera. The flash doesnt flash correctly so pictures look F'ed up.

ICS gallery is also garbage. Ill put pictures on my SD with OTHER pictures that are already loaded and they wont load for days or even weeks. I had to get rid of it, just awful.

And SMS, I use GOSMS mainly because I can set the vibrate pulse to vibrate to a length that I define. I wish the stock app did that.

Should only take you about 20 seconds to install and find out first hand. Then you'll know for sure

I just dont like the limited settings and the flash sucks. The timing is off. If you take a close up picture with the flash on and compare against stock, you will see.

Plus the stock has 30fps now

As far as I know nothing 4.0 and up can be ported. Ported and be fully working. Im sure something could be dirty ported and be buggy as hell at the same time.
