ICS on orange?

Well at least Orange are consistent in delaying software updates. Does anyone know when they plan releasing ICS?

HTC has not yet announced if the Desire HD will, or will not get ICS. Are your sure your friends have received an official update, and are not running a custom rom? Because there are quite a few ICS roms available, but not an official version.
 
Is that so? I'm sure that I saw the evidence myself at new years, admittedly through beer goggles! Cheers for the heads up though. Is there an official list or anything like that I could check up on?
 
looks like your friends are running a custom rom theres no info anywhere stating that HTC released the ICS update for the desire HD, but if you want to get the ICS rom like your friends do head on over to the phone section of the forums find your phone and from there on out you should be able to find the infos you need to root your device if not already rooted back it up and after that get the ICS rom, good luck. :)
 
These devices were confirmed for the first wave of ICS updates.

They haven't announced the second wave of updates, but hopefully they will include the Desire HD for your sake. :)
