Root ICS rom coming soon?

No...
EDIT: And don't hold your breath on this....it still might be impossible to get 3G data working on this phone without CIQ. And for all those who don't understand how embedded CIQ is in a stock rom, trust me....it's embedded in EVERYTHING,

I feel you man everything takes time.

I will totally be holding my breath until you get back to me on that ^ Just to go shove it to these devs i know up at a Boost store, but even if you get this to Boot up and run i'm sure they're going to crap their pants haha

But i thought someone here in the forums had gotten CIQ removed from our phones already?

The only way I know of getting CIQ removed from a Sprint phone is to get a Sprint ota update that blows it off. We have the Sprint Intercept FB01 update that does this and it proves that CIQ is embedded in everything. It really is a smoking gun.

Wasn't disabling the first step in the prevail too?

Carrier IQ
logs information about your whereabouts as well as other personal data
such as browsing history, application usage and phone numbers.

The Carrier
IQ application also captures the content of your text messages,
according to AT&T. This happens when you are talking on the phone
and you send or receive a text message: "the CIQ software also captured
the content of SMS text messages—when and only when—such messages were
sent or received while a voice call was in progress."

Can't we have it installed and not active not like on the Samsung Skyrocket, HTC Vivid, or the LG Nitro

Take a look at this i guess they just used us as a demonstration purpose haha

No...I messed up the CM9 compile for Armv7-Neon. It's just what happens when U start deving on a new CPU....U have to learn by doing. Same thing when I started ICS Intercept compiling....took me a while to get it right.

So how far are we on this? Does it boot at all? Personally I don't care about carrieriq because regardless you are going through the carriers servers. If they really wanted to they could check logs and see what websites u went to, what pictures and texts you sent. They don't even need carrier iq. Does it compile with carrieriq? Let's start there and then disable it when we actually have a working rom.

Yo, How's it going! I have 2 projects at sdx-developers: ICS and CM9 for the Samsung Intercept. I just bought a Boost Mobile Ultra and I want to build ICS for it. I need to know how much interest there is for this.

I have a lot of interest

I agree with you. Idc about carrier iq. I dont do anything im not supposed to in my phone anyways. Even though it is an invasion of privacy.

I am running the latest version of $hevron rom and love the ics theme. I would definetly be looking forward to an ics rom for the transform ultra.

Finally after four replacements I think I have a winner. :D Everything seems to be working properly on this TU, so I thought I would offer my time to you on this or any other projects. I am currently off work due to a back injury :( but I had surgery last August (unbelievable difference). With the exception of a few small freelance jobs, I am home all the time. I know I am still new to the Android world :o but I do learn quickly, take notes, print things out and I take direction well.

Just to give you an idea what I am running is two desktops (no ADB installed yet) and a laptop docked on the living room coffee table (this is were have been doing most of my work).

If you have any questions feel free to ask.
