I do indeed agree with you, indeed I do, Early. Odd thing is, people can spout all day long how Apple rules or Android stinks or Android is better than Apple or Apple is better than the latest iAndroid.

When pressed for specifics, well, they ask Mr. Bing for the required argument supporting structure and sometimes, they find the equally clueless building the same old tired pointless argument from mis-information found on the InterWeb.

FACTS: Apple products are great products and Android products are also great products. Well, depending on the product.

Buy what you like and move on.

I will soon purchase an iPhone because I can go off contract. I looked at new phones and I do like those large screens, but I have an iPad and I do not need a sub-tablet Phone like device.

Apparently, lots of folks like the iPhone and they all can.t be clueless goofballs.

Please tell me what you want to do with the 4S. Jailbreaking changes things and once you do, you will discover that there is very little you cannot do with your 4S.

I find myself using iTunes less and less because there are alternatives and I seldome purchase apps from the app store because I have Cydia. I still like iTunes because it is well integrated, however.

I think so many people on this forum hit Apple because you can't do this or that with an iPhone. When you JB, you can do much more.

But I also think the general public could care less about different ROMS, or themes or something else the rooters among us say is needed. Some people hate Apple because it will not do this or that and they love Android for things that are of little concern to the general user base.

People purchase an iPhone because they want a good phone. They go iPhone because Apple is good at marketing and their products always work well. Many choose android because they read how much "better" an Android phone is compared to BB, WinPhones and iPhones.
 
Razr maxx and iPhone 4S side by side. To each their own but i can't figure out why anyone would choose the iPhone over the Maxx.

Perhaps it is not available in their area? Or the dealer was out of stock or they trust Apple more than Android. Lots of possible reasons.

When I want a phone, I go to Best Buy because it is close and I buy whatever they have that suits my needs. Not sure how many buyers out there agonize over every spec and spend weeks waiting for the latest and greatest and discontinued next month wonder phone.
 
I converted my friend and his wife from apple to android they were both die hard apple does thing right people till I got a Samsung note into there hands. Now both bought notes and sold there apple phones to recoup some cost. I am have to convert another apple family to the best os Android will continue my quest to convert the sheep

Why is Android the best OS? No such thing as the best OS, by the way. My agent sends me checks and arranges deals so when we talk, Blackberry is the best OS.

Not sure how you can say Android is better; I will give you different, but never better. Not sure I can say iOS is better, either.

I tend to do it by speaking slowly, using my best form of articulation, not too loud and not too soft, it depends on the size of the room.

I crack me up.

Android is better for me, how's that?

As is the hardware. I'm now using a 4.7" screen and won't look at smaller because I can't always count on having anything else with me when I need the screen size.
 
So what is it about Ice Cream Sandwich in particular? I seem to have forgotten again...

Talk is very cheap. Provide facts? Is this a litigation? Are we in court? lol. It's a forum so dont have a heart attack.

What can I do with my Android that you cant do with your Iphone? Anything I want. That's really an irrelevant question for anyone that has any knowledge of Android. It's common knowledge that there are MANY things I can do with my Android that can't be done on an Iphone so I dont think I need to list out the obvious.


So if we are beta testers and Android "hasn't" gotten it right yet, then what does that REALLY say about Apple? lmao

Outdated? Apple's features compared to Google's features is what's outdated. Once again you can use google to look for yourself. It's there in plain sight. Im not your maid you can look yourself.

At the end of the day I have hundreds of phones to chose from which I can then do whatever the hell I want to with. At the end of the day you have 2, well technically 3, phones to choose from that you can "jailbreak" and only get about halfway in but it will still be 3G, closed source and outdated.


But it still boils down to what suits the user. I see more people leaving Apple after trying Android than vice versa.

i have never used an iphone.. refuse to give those stealin N suing bastards any of my $$$.

but.. i read a blogger the other day.. about their 30day with android from 4S. he really liked his iphone.
at the end of the 30day.. he converted to android.

his reasons..
customization that is available out of the box. (and he does jailbreak his iphones)
replace any part that does not meet his needs: KB, mail, etc..
and how apps can share data/info ...
options and more options...

No matter what someone says in the Apple vs. Android debates....as of right now thats always gonna be a pro for Android. How can one compare the customization of Android out the box....to a jailbroken iPhone?

The general public that has no idea what root, jailbreak , ROM, kernel, bootloader is can do alot of customizing on Android just be hanging out in the Android market.

Ppl do customizing on desktop PC's....I cant believe its that much harder to do on an Android phone. It may even be easier on an Android phone because of the Market.

Actually most people I talk to that have Android know what rooting is and they all say they are scared at first. Surprised me to find out normal people knew what it was.
 
I agree that it is just about preference and also has to do with the user7s capabilities

I think android are cool, but when i am busy I tend to leave it alone so i dont tweak it or add new apps and it becomes very stagnant.
In that case, I think that just having an iphone is ok.

for my mom, the iphone is great because you do not have to do anything.

You now, in the end, people have a choie to just go back to normal phones too.
It is all just about matching.
Matching of lifestyle, capability, budget and taste.
 
I seem to recall the Woz later liking the Windows phone over Android.

The Woz likes a lot of things. ;)

And I can see how some of the posts here could turn someone off to Android.

The thought of owning another Windows phone makes me cringe. I would be become an Apple spokesperson and an Apple advocate before I owned another Windows Mobile phone.

Well to be fair some say one or another is better for there own reasons for me i like to compile my code, and not have restrictions. I like open source you can verify no crap is hidden inside that can monitor or track you. I like to compile my own.software like arch Linux so for me and my reasons that's why I think android is best. Some like apple and some.like blackberry and windows for there own reasons and that's fair
