I disagree. The emulators on this are amazing. The screen is so big you can play in landscape or portrait without a problem. I could care less about most of the games in the market, even for the iPhone. A few iphone users always ask to play with my phone to get some nba jam or Mario kart in.

I play video games.
I have a DS.
And banging has never been an issue...Or does this only apply to guys? Cus it doesnt seem to be an issue for the ones I know.

The tile of his post is misleading and user needs is very subjective.
 
If I wanted a gaming phone, I'd just do Skype over my PSP. :)
Sony will pwn all when they come out with a PspGoPhone.

I've been playing Donkey Kong Country on SNESoid. I think the experience is just as good as when I played it in college on my SNES.

Toilet, lines, when my girlfriend is talking to me...all have been times when I've whipped that out.

Dude, you are 15....wtf do you possibly know about women? I'm 36 and I play. I have a ds and a psp to go along with a ps3 and 360......

I'm married and never had any problems getting a woman when i was single....I feel sorry for the insecure person who gives up what they enjoy in the hopes of getting with the opposite sex.....

I guess its kind of ironic....The game i'm enjoying most on my phone is the same game i used to play when i was 15......weird.......
 
I agree with most of the posts. If you want to play games get a PSP or a real gaming console. You cant complain about games not playing right on a cell phone. No matter how big the screen is its still a phone. Im not a gamer, gave that up years ago but I do play a game or two on my ipod touch and thats mostly when im commuting.

A MAME port would be excellent. Also a Visual Pinball port. I'd pay good money for that last one. Good pinball is pretty lacking on the Android platform.
 
I love the SNESOID emulator, but I just suck at the touch screen controls. Is it better on the Iphone or something? If not, who cares, because a lot of games are unplayable on a touchscreen IMO.

Splinter cell seems like a worthless purchase when you could just buy the good version for your 360. If I want to waste some time, I don't need a game that involved on my phone.

Meh, PC games are ok. Depends on the Game type, I mean, mmo's need a keyboard to be good, but FPS and Some RPG's play better on console. It's subjective.

I have to disagree with you on this one IOWA. I can't play FPS games on a console. I actually bought the frag fx wireless mouse and controller combo For the ps3 simply because I can't play using a controller.

I think it's a matter of taste, but for me an ultimate gaming rig would be a maxed out PC.

I have too many people to quote, so I won't. But, if you want to game on a phone, get an iPOS(I didn't say this originally, I'm using it though, but not claiming it). If you want flexibility or a good network or a good OS or a good manufacturer, get an EVO, or Droid, or any Android equiped devise not on AT&T. If you want, go ahead, bring around a PSP, or a DS. Hell, bring the original Gameboy! Eve bring a ****ing Virtual Boy! I don't care! Neither should anyone that really has any self esteem! Don't worry what people think about you! If you consider yourself a nerd, FLAUNT IT! If you don't, make an excuse! Wait, eventually, Apple will cave, and put a physical keyboard on the iPOS. (luckily, if they do, a full port of the Android OS will capable). Semi-off-topic, but, most games are better on the PC. FPS's, MMO's, RTS', they're all better. Having an rts on the console is utter fail. FPS's are, in my opinion, better on the PC. RPG's are better suited for the console, because of the gameplay. My PC is a semi-custom built gaming PC, much more powerful than even the PS3.

Man you got it backwards. FPS belong on the console. RPG, or MMORPG, belong on the PC. =D. RTS as well. But FPS, I'm sorry but console wins. FPS on 62".... halo godliness when it comes to sniping =P

And having a computer that's better than a PS3, meh, not much to brag about. Sorry =(

Oh, and virtua boy sucked.

Actually, games on mobile platforms is becoming a major thing. I don't complain about it, but I DO complain about my phone not bring able to run them right. The reason being, is that it affects everything. Scrolling looks like shit, anything trying to run over 30fps stutters, junks, and jerks around. Scrolling through text pages and pictures being a major two. It's all correlated.
 
Ahh frak it, if I've got the Emulators wtf else do I need beyond what will be supplied with 2.2?

The iPhone kicks the shit out of android right now when it comes to gaming, And I would bet any money that if you could have all of the games on the iPhone ported and available for android you would all be downloading a bunch of games right away.

I don't know why some people make excuses instead of saying yes it currently sucks now, but we will get more games.

The whole point of these revolutionary phones is to reduce the amount of systems we need to carry around.

Have to agree with this, I love my Droid but to say the Iphone games look and play like shit is bordering on ******ed. I have a Touch and the touch screen works great with a vast majority of the good games out there. There is a metric F-Ton of great games for the Iphone. But slowly they are coming for Android as well. Within a year the Android market will be able to compete with Apples Itunes in every aspect, books, movies and tv shows and yes gaming.

Oh, and mobile gaming is awesome! So much easier to just whip out my iPhone and play a quick game of whatever when I'm in line, or in the can, or whatever. I have a PSP, but it's much bigger, heavier, and the games take up more space. My iPhone fits in my pocket with over 100 games installed and ready to rock. I also have a PS3 and a Wii at home. And a wife. And I'm 36. Gaming isn't just for kids anymore.
