TS,

i know there is mixed posts on this...

i JUST clicked off (hung up?) from online chat and i have 4 lines, one line has the airave which is free for me and i can use it for $150.00 off, the other 3 lines are normal phones.

i just received a 70 dollar credit for 2 lines (i asked for the 3rd and the chat person stated they could only do two..) and that reset my contract on those lines for two years starting today. i asked if i could get the 70 dollar credit on my airave line but still keep the upgrade eligibility the chat person said no it would reset that line...

in the end im happy because my bill is 139 bux a month and i just paid it! i was going to grab the evo at retail price anyway so no harm no foul...

but the chat rep stated the 70 dollar credit would reset the contract. when i called in last week on something else unrelated (i was taking the hero off my line and putting a junk phone on) the lady came out the blue and stated i was eligible for the 70 bones but it would indeed reset my contract.. i held off until i had a chance to regroup! :D

anyway i made that chat rep happy since he or she got 2 lines renewed today...

As much as I try, this thread is giving me a headache. I still don't get it.

You call sprint to get a 70 credit by extending your contract two years. this is done before you get the evo so you can get the 199 price, but wouldn't BB, RS, EVP etc see that your contract is up in two years and thus make you not be eligible to get the evo at 199.

or am i missing something here.

Nice TS! And you did make sure to verify that it had nothing to do with the phone upgrade eligibility, right? Their answer should've been, "No. The phoen upgrade and the $70 credit are unrelated." (or something to that extent).

I just got a $70 credit on my account, although I have 2 lines and a Airave. The rep tried to tell me that the 2nd line couldn't get the credit because it was targeted. The 2nd line also has the same plan as the 1st, Family everything (unlimited calls and data) and is eligible for a phone upgrade on the same date as the 1st.

But no use fighting for the credit on the 2nd, I'm just happy to get a credit regardless and still get my Evo on Friday..

Thanks OP...nice post

I just renewed my 2 year agreement, and received $70 per line for a total of $140. The csr told me it will not affect my upgrade, and I even received confirmation from her supervisor. So make sure you call, don't hesitate.

I did the same thing. Call FIRST and renew your contract and get the $70 per line and you are still eligible to get the EVO for $199 on the 4th. Like picking $70 up off the floor!

Yup. I'll confirm this as well. Just to be DOUBLE sure, I even went to BB this past weekend (primarily just to see if they had a display version, which they did and I posted pics of) and BB confirmed that I'll have no problems with my phone upgrade and that even though my agreement date has a 2012 ending date, I'm still eligible to get the phone for $199, so I don't have to worry.
