If your missing your BB notifications

This is some good info for folks addicted to BB. I've never had one, but I'm thinking of those who have. :)

Connect your Inc and mount as a drive. If you don't have one, make a folder called Notifications on the SD card and place all the sounds there. You should be good to go.
Ok I may be a little slow, but I did this and now what? I see them in astro but when i go into sounds on the INC settings, to change the ringer type, the astro folder is not an option. Any help is appreciated.

I use these and some of the WinMo ones that I had from years ago when I had my Motorola Q phones. Once you get old and set in your ways like me, every little bit helps to keep me sane. ;)

+1 I'm having the same difficulty

Anyone have any idea on how to take the notification off of astro and make 1 of them a ring tone on the INC??

Did you connect your phone to the pc?
Connected the phone to my mac, made a "notifications folder" in astro, put the ring tones in their and moved it over to the phone. Then disconnected the phone and am trying to set ring tones on the INC, but when I go into settings to change it, there's no way for me to use the notifications in the folder.

Make another folder on your SD called Ringtones. Any menu that requires a ringtones will look in there, any menu that's asking for a notifier will look in the notifications folder. You need both.

ok, I had the same trouble a while back and someone told me to do this:

1) Plug your phone into PC and when prompt comes up, mount your phone as a disk drive. (Or you can do all this by creating a new folder in Astro File Manager (SD Card > Media > Audio > Notifications) then move your ringtone file into the notification folder) If you're not familiar with Astro then follow steps below.

2) This might be a good time to re-name your two phone disk drives to "internal" and "SD card" so you don't always have to remember which letter is which.

3) While you're in your SD Card directory, be sure and create a "notifications" folder. You will need that later.

4) Move (or copy) files to: SD card>Notifications

5) Safely Unmount Phone

6) Files should be on your SD card now, ready to go. Just open the Menu> Settings>Sound & Display > Notification Sounds and they should all be there.

7) Alternatively you can also make a folder on your SD card called "Ringtones" and transfer or download files there if you want to keep your notification and ringtones separate (which I know I do)

Hope that helps!!

Making a "ring tone" folder did the trick. I was attempting to set a ring tone while having saved them to a "notifications" folder. All fixed now. Thanks guys!

I am having problems with the Notifier 6 playing twice when i get a message and its really annoying...any ideas?

3) Download and open zip file at the top of this thread (these are the ringtones). They will go somewhere on your PC hard drive. Mine went to an "Unzipped" folder on my C drive.

4) Move (or copy) files to: SD card>Notifications (I played them all first on the PC so I could decide if I really wanted all of them. I ended up using about 8 of them.)

Hi i already Downloaded the file to my PC (i am using Windows 7, if that even matters). well i connect my phone and when the prompt comes up i touch USB Drive and it connects to my PC well i open the files to see them, but my question is how do i know which one to name "Internal" & "SD Card"? Can you please help me.

*Other thing. When i connect my phone the names are blackberry & blackberry2. No longer have the BB but i am using the Memory Card.

*I am using Motorola Cliq

For those having problems, just move the files onto your phone and download the free app tone picker and it should be able to set the default notifications by searching your files on astro.
