Root Inactive evo and decks1.3

So like most who upgrade from the evo 4g I have kept mine and love still playing with it. I tried ubersonic but it was not for me and looking for a small rom decks came to mind. Flashed it and I keep it in airplane mode with wifi on untill i see what i can get away with deleteing and not messing the rom up. I do have a question on decks tho To move apps to sd ext can i just use terminal or do i need to download a scrip first? Never did it because all the roms i ran had it baked in. Also I thought people could post up here what they are doing with the OG EVO after their upgrade.

Decks 1.3? That's kinda old ain't it? I don't know if that rom has DTa2sd baked into it or not.
You can check to see if it's baked in by opening TE, and type in:
su
a2sd check

Is your card partitioned?

Also its old but small 72meg zip and dont need anythin else on it but apps i play with.
 
Well, if that version of Decks has a2sd support, then you can flash the DTa2sd .zip.
Is there a changelog for that version of Decks somewhere?
 
what no love for reloaded? i'm a huge fan of LOTK so i will always try their roms first.

my inactive evo has reloaded on it right now. i have no plans on changing it, unless LOTK comes out with an update.

i use my og evo as an mp3 player and not much else.

Ok Im on Reloaded and have a2sd working. any thing cool to try on this as inactive that you woulnt try on the active phone ??
 
I'm being silly with this next statement---Boot into recovery and wipe boot only. Then reboot.--- Just kidding...don't do that. :eek:

See how high you can overclock or how low you can underclock without going into bootloop.?
Try different boot animations? Perhaps in the Development settings, see what stuff does in there. I remember some choices there I didn't want to play with when my phone was active.


I can't think of anything else atm, but how did you get a2sd to work? Flash DTa2sd.zip?

as far as some cool things.....try this one: http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...l-boot-up-4-additional-roms-your-sd-card.html. you can dual boot or have more then one rom loaded onto the sd card and boot into a bunch of different roms....the evo 4g is supported....its pretty cool.

maybe you can learn how to create bootanimations or splashscreens as well.

Under clocking and over clocking is a big nono on my evo No workie. It bootloops at anything over stock.LOL As far as a2sd I flashed the dtapp2sd linked from the reloaded page.:)

Gotcha. I didn't even think of what Ocn suggested. That piqued my interest a while ago but was hesitant to try it.!!
