The logic in this thread is getting funnier and funnier now.
The specs of the phone are already confirmed as Snapdragon S4, 1gb RAM, ICS, Sense 4.0, FOUR capacitive buttons and yet you still are wondering if the specs will be the old snapdragon S3? This is now getting too funny IMO.lol.
For someone claiming to represent Verizon and have the phone, you are not doing a good job at all.
Instead of insulting people you would do good to, you know, answer the legitimate questions people have.
No pics, no proof.
A mod should lock this thread.

Yes, that is exactly what they are doing by marking down the Rezound. They are dumping the S3 processors, the new lucid has one inside too, external LTE. Dinc4 will be the first with internal LTE.
On the key layout issue, I think the new 3 key layout makes it look like a Windows phone.
Given, I have never used it, it probably functions very good with the OS.
I just don't like the way the 3 keys look. I prefer the "look"of the traditional Android layout.

Alright, now I'm slightly confused. The Rezound has mostly better specs than the rumored Droid Incredible 4G. And now it's only 49$. What's stopping me from buying the Rezound as opposed to the Incredible 4G? Clearly there must be something more to this device. The Droid Incredible 4G is suspected to be priced somewhere between 100$-200$. Why would I pay more for a device that has inferior specifications? The only thing the rumored Dinc4g has going for it is an S4 processor and a thinner body.

I honestly don't see how they could charge more than 199 for this phone on contract.

I am gonna have to sell off the Incredible 2, old fashioned horse tradin' style.
I would really like to keep it though, it's a great phone!

Of course, if the OP would be kind enough to post some verifiable proof that he/she has the phone in hand instead of us just taking their word on it, it would severely limit the flaming that is probably coming.

If you are gonna post a thread like this then you HAVE to expect skepticism and downright disbelief, that is just the way it is on the internet. You seem awfully sure, where are you getting this from? I only ask because I really haven't read anything about this phone till I stumbled on this thread and you seem to be speaking with more certainty than the specs/pics/leaks I've seen provide????
Proof is a funny thing. Lets be clear, ANY user has the right to say post any rumor/spec/etc they wish and NOT get harassed about it, nor is said user allowed to be rude/condescending to other users. There is a quote from our esteemed community manger floating around concerning a situation like this, I'll see if I can dig it up.
Since there only a couple threads in this section I'd hate to have to lock any of them

I'm still hoping for something that will catch me by surprise with this phone. I hear the HTC Rezound price drop is only for a week(til 4/9), I assume they'll announce the Dinc4G soon afterward.
Something that would be nice, and slightly surprising, would be including a pair of Beats headphones like the HTC Rezound did.

I've been following the reviews on the One S and it's apparently getting way better battery life than the One X. Obviously the One X is powered by a T3 on review units and not an S4, still.... I'm pretty hopeful about potential battery life. I must say though, I'm curious how much LTE will be a factor though as the One S reviews are strictly GSM Faux-G units. Without the battery sucking 720p screen and with LTE on chip, this might be something exciting to see.

Ok, I'll admit I was a bit excited when I posted this. Things were kinda going haywire over the keys.
I used some strong words. I was also kinda frustrated with the situation.
I am getting this from VZW's past track record for modifying handsets.
I remember when I read that they tell manufactures make the menu of all their feature phones look alike. They are all simplified with same type of icons. Giving them all a uniform look instead of looking like the menu of what type of phone it is. A Nokia phones menu probably won't look like a Motorola phone. I have also seen this for myself. My wife having a lg and a Samsung phone with the menus looking almost exactly the same.
VZW is known for re-branding phones, as their own bigtime.
Also, pretty much slamming their fist on the table to get manufacturers to make custom versions to their own specific specs.
The leaked pictures from the Feb.10th article show the phone with the four keys.
Now we have a poster that started a thread saying he works for VZW, his boss has the phone and it still has the 4 key layout.
I think these two clues one visual, and one typed by someone who saw the actual phone agree.
I believe Incredible4G that his boss has the phone & he saw it and checked it out.
There has never been a report that the phone has the new three key layout or a pic yet?
Only the hTC One series suggests that.
I know Verizon tells manufactures to make handsets to their specific specs and are probably very picky and pushy about it.
I may have been too over the top in my first post but, I still believe that the Dinc4g will have the 4 key layout and VZW had a say in it because it is not like hTC's new lineup of handsets that all run on ICS/sense 4.0 and have the new 3 key layout.
hTC wants to sell the One series "as is". They know different carriers will want to do their own thing with them. This is VZW's attempt at uniformity. Yes the galaxy nexus is the exception. That was more of a "special" handset that they allowed.

I am open to hear it. Also, if I am wrong I will honestly admit it. That's the only thing about the key situation that sounds right to me.
I wanted to leave this^^^ last part out but, felt compelled to put it.
We are basically still in the speculation stage here and nothing proves otherwise.
I just can't wait too see some fresh pics of this phone that prove otherwise.

I just wanted to get past the 4 key layout debacle.
Who knows, they might change it at the last minute and the bossman might be left with a "rare" hTC phone...and I am probably guilty of rationalizing...
Still in all I am excited about this new Incredible!!!

This forum does not verify anyone... So no, you have not been verified....Don't lie to the members and say you have been. As our site admin has stated, it's up to you to prove or disprove yourself, and you have yet to prove yourself.
And ps, you still haven't answered the question about what EACH capacitive button is for....
But all of HTCs new handsets do HAVE the 3 key layout... Show me one that doesn't... There is only two, the HTC one s and the htc one x... Obviously, it's quite possible that the phone(Inc4G) has the 4 key layout, but it is highly doubtful... And our "source", Incredible4g, has yet to verify/state what each button is for.

I Was trying to say that all of the One series has the 3 keys and that the Dinc4G is not like them because it doesn't have it.
I can't show you one that doesn't have it because they all have it, the X, S , and V. I agree with that.
I also respect your opinion that you think the Dinc4G will not have the 4 keys.
Seems weird to me that Incredible 4G is posting in other phone forums bashing the crap out of new devices (check the LG Lucid section...). I've also seen posts replying to a few phone blogs that are almost identical to his rantings on here, so I'm assuming it's the same person. I'm wondering what his motives are on these forums. Apparently he's the only one in the world, or on the net at least, that has seen this phone in person. He wants to shell out all the awesome details, but won't answer specific questions about the phone. Anyone else here not believing the BS?

Cool to go out on a limb and divulge information like this though most I have seen posted else where over the past couple weeks so still not sure how credible this is.
But if true I like what I am seeing about this phone so far.

Well, it's certainly shopped from one of the phonearena pics, the flash is in the exact same place with the same effect... The brightness then the line in the upper left/middle.
If you search "adr6410" on Amazon this is what you get, the are some others but they all look the same from the same company.
