its been confirmed, the Inc4g has a 24inch screen and comes pre-loaded with a backpack. JK.

I haven't posted on here in years but I have been a long time lurker and my upgrade is due sometime in May. I am hoping this phone will be great as I have been researching which phones to get with Verizon (other carriers are not an option due to coverage). But i though I would say hi since we are all sitting here waiting patiently for Verizon to come up with something.

I don't think it'll have NFC. The T-Mobile HTC One S won't.

That might be a deal breaker for me. Not sure I want to go another 2 years without it. It'll probably get pretty big in the next 6 months.

Still have my Droid X humming away. I can replace it any time, but don't need to rush it (like I have had to with every previous phone I've ever owned). This is the first phone I haven't been dying to get rid of.

It shows it having NFC in the screenshots that have been posted

speaking of NFC, does anyone know if there are tags with a bigger range if possible? instead of like 1-2ft like 4-5ft. say like if i were to walk through my doorway at home with the phone in my pocke it could turn wifi on.

I don't really know but, you might enjoy reading this about fun with nfc tags. You could just place a sticker under a desk/table and walk in & put the phone down on the sweet spot, like the desk/table and bam! be on wifi.

It's shows where the reviewer got them from, they have the Android logo on them which I think is cool.
It shows the range for a certain brand under the video as being 8"...
8 inches or 8 feet I don't know?
Enjoy! :)

That's because the One S has the metal/aluminum casing, nfc can't work though metal I think.
That's why the One S doesn't have the nfc feature. I think the metal is why, might be wrong...:o

Thanks for looking out. I read that the other day and thats what got me thinking of how NFC could make my life easier. I just did some research on NFC and it seems that technology is limited to close range encounters as of now. We'll see what happens in the future.

Damnit, now that I see better and better specs and info, I'm starting to spaz out about whether I should return my Rezound that I just bought and wait a week for the Inc4G... My 15 day trial runs out tomorrow, so I gotta decide fast.

If the Inc4G comes out with a 4.3" screen and costs $200, I'm gonna be super pissed, but 4" and $100 or $150 would probably be worth it, especially with all the other upgrades. Just don't know if it's really THAT much better than the Rezound to go through all the hassle and pay that much extra ($35 return fee, new $30 upgrade fee, plus cost of Inc).

I did this same thing when I lost my Droid and wanted the Droid Pro. Except that had a solid release date, so I bought an Incredible for a few weeks, then returned it on the Pro release day. I must say, the original Inc was a great phone, even in completely stock unrooted form.

Maybe theyll announce on the 26th so they still get some of the hype with the other carriers, but the release the following week will have its own hype.

I'll play the part of your pep talker....:)

Do you like the Rezound and did you get it for $50 during the VZW promo? If you did, then I wouldn't be too pissed if I were you. I would consider that a wash.

Also, from everything that I have read, the screen on the Resound is quite possibly better than supposedly the Incredible 4G's 540x960 non hd screen. I hope thats not going to be the case

Though a HD screen is definitely in my want list, I wouldn't look pass the Dinc 4G just because of the slightly lower res. Qhd on a 4 inch (as speculated) Amoled screen should be plenty nice, IMO. However, I totally understand your hope for a HD screen...that would be icing. (crosses fingers)

I'm getting kinda excited about this phone after seeing the One S reviews. :D

I'd use my last upgrade on this phone if it definitely has a micro sd slot.

I think because it is 4", it will not be Amoled and instead be SLCD2 or SLCD. SLCD2 is supposed to be better than Amoled, so hoping for that.

Oh yeah, I remember reading that somewhere on this speculation thread too. Ok, I'm with you in regards to SLCD2 then. :p

is this a new pic or am I just too excited to care I just want more eye candy! Droid Incredible 4G Launching Soon?

on edit, I just held my OG Inc up to the screen and the screen was bigger so it its a 4.3" I swear my LCD is only a 27" so it didn't change the results HONESTLY! (w00t!)

Yea, saw that on Droid-life.. Looking at the middle button, the picture looks stretched.. Anyone else think it's stretched?

It's an old pic. Came out last week, I think. Hopefully vzw announces something tomorrow, or the 26th date is not happening.
Apparently the Dinc2 was announced 2 days before launch, same with the original Dinc. So i would wait until April 24 before assuming its delayed.

I may end up waiting for the shared data plan this summer, unless they alow you to change data plans mid contract. Want to see pricing, that would be cool for the wife and I.
