Not doubting that it happened, but seeing as how 4/12 came and went without the Fighter, I don't trust the 4/26 date either. Hope they prove me wrong though.

I rarely pay any attention to moto releases, but IIRC, the X was released a few weeks after the original Inc. The Bionic's original date was supposed to be the beginning of May I thought, weeks after the INC2 (Of course we know what happened with that one).
I'm expecting the DINC 4G to come first, followed by the Fighter 3-4 weeks later. I really don't think there will be much advance notice on the INC 4G. Verizon has learned their lesson about announcing phones ahead of time, it just rarely works out for them. There seems to be a delay anytime they announce ahead of time. Not to mention, while a lot of people here are jonesing for the new INC, I don't think it's has the same excitement the original had. I'm fully expecting a press release two days before.
Yea, the X has served me well, but the new Moto's are nothing special, so I'm looking forward to the DINC 4g. From the Phandroid article posted above it seems that demo units for this and the Fighter are coming out within the next 2 weeks. Knowing vzw, they planned the releases after the extra fee kicks in Sunday. Just hope they have enough units at launch.

Yes, but the Droid Fighter didn't have: A leaked MAP, a leaked FCC document, multiple leaked pictures, a leaked press picture, a leaked benchmark, and predecessors that happened to be released on the same date in previous years. I'm still betting on the April 26th release date for the Dinc4G. Then the Droid Fighter will be released early May to compete with the Galaxy S3.
Here's what I think the phone will have, and what I'm hoping for:
-4" qHD S-LCD2 screen
-ICS with Sense 4.0
-1.2ghz dual core Snapdragon S4 processor (underclocked to help with battery life)
-1GB RAM
-8MP rear camera with ImageSense (Same camera as the One series)
-VGA front camera
-NFC
-8gb internal storage
-MicroSD slot, preloaded with an 8gb card
-Oh so very slightly thinner than the Droid Incredible 2
-Very light
-Removable 1750mAh battery (We can see that the phone is much thicker than the One S, due to the inclusion of a removable back, battery, and microSD slot. I also believe it's because it'll have a bigger battery because of LTE)
-Removable/swappable back
-MHL support
-LTE
-And of course, can't forget Beats Audio.
With this it will be the best smartphone on VZW with a reasonably sized screen. Everything is pointing to a release date very soon, what with the Dinc2 going out of stock.
Completely agree with your post, just wish it has a 4.3" screen like my X. Assuming it comes out on the 26th, will anyone buy this phone before the May 3rd announcement of the S3?

I would say yes. People that want updates to their phones in the future and are familiar with Samsung's track record of not updating their phones or not updating them in a reasonable timely manner.

Do you like the Rezound and did you get it for $50 during the VZW promo? If you did, then I wouldn't be too pissed if I were you. I would consider that a wash.
Yes, I really like the Rezound and haven't had a single issue with it in 2 weeks. Got it for $50, so that's the main reason I don't want to spend much more money.
That being said, before I got the Rezound, there is no way I wanted a screen bigger than 4", but I compromised thinking that there wouldn't be any more 4" screen phones coming out. Then they lowered the rezound price, so I gave in. I'm stupid, I shoulda waited until the 9th so I'd have until the 24th to return the phone. However, I'm sure Verizon planned all this out so they sold a bunch of Rezounds, 15 day return period is up on the 24th, then they announce the Inc4G the next day and everyone is locked in already.
Even though I'm sure the Inc screen will be really good, I'm also worried about being used to the 720p screen now and going to anything less would annoy me.
Worse comes to worse, I find someone that wants the Rezound, get them to buy me the Inc4G with their upgrade, then I'll pay for it and give them the Rezound for free. Or something like that....

I bought a blackberry 8900 off contract once. Got it before it was even available in the US. Such a huge waste of money lol.
Of course, that was back in the day when phones were supposed to be small and lightweight. The 8900 was the worlds smallest full qwerty phone. 4.3" x 2.4" with a 2.4" screen and weighed only 3.9 oz! When I replaced it with an OG Droid, it felt like a damn brick in comparison.

I'm hoping that as well although I probably won't buy it brand new. I'll wait and buy it from someone in the classifieds who's looking to make a buck. Cheaper that way. I definitely won't sign another contract though.

I've seen someone on a few sites claiming that the phone will come in May. One of these people even claimed they've seen the phone. Hopefully this isn't the case. I really just want to toss my old LG Ally out ASAP.

ugh, all this reading on the dinc4g is making me want want want....
I almost jumped on the rezound but wanted a better battery. tried to talk the wife into the Maxx when it was bogo... she doesnt want a smartphone.
saw that the inc4g was coming and the fighter. but the fighter screen will be way too big for me.
I want a 4.3 screen and a good size battery. does not have to be maxx size but maybe atleast 2000mah.
but i am glad i have held out for this long and didnt jump on a phone just yet.. got home got the mail.. sorted through it.. junkmail junkmail junkmail and then something from verizon....hmm whats this. talk about the newer 4glte smartphones... a couple phones inside and then BAM BAM a coupon for $100 off any new 4glte smartphone... HELL YEAH.. hurry up and come out dinc4g... BOOOOOOOOOOO-YAH

i suggest you don't call. i went into a store last month, after I got a $50 off text, and they had no idea when it expired or even how to check the expiry. So, when I grab my next phone, I'll take the mailed coupon and the text, and try to get $150 off.
I'm scared that if I call they'll make up some date (like the 23rd) for expiration. At least in store, I can haggle and raise a fuss.
