Yep. Some bloggers maintain a healthy skepticism despite their previous experiences (either good or bad). Others go beyond that and reach conclusions based not on fact but on assumptions -- which, of course, they present as 'confirmed'.Also, how do you review a phone you've never seen? That's ludicrous right there.
Although the back looks a little different this is a Dinc 2 (almost exact same size) upgraded in every way:
Dinc 2 Dinc 4GLTE
1. Single core 1 GHz Snapdragon vs. Dual Core S4
2. Still 768 RAM vs 1 GB Ram
3. 800x480 WVGA SLCD vs 960x540 qHD SLCD
4. 2 GB on board storage (apps) vs. 8 GB on board storage
5. Good Battery Life (1450) vs. 1700 (should be good based on One S review)
6. 3G vs. 4G LTE (integrated for Better Battery)
7. No NFC NFC
Even though some have said it is chunky (a whopping 11 mm) the Dinc 2 is 12.2 mm so it's thinner than the Dinc 2 and I think will have a great feel and balance to it. This will be the best 4.0" (by the way, there are no 720p 4.0" displays out on any phone right now) LTE Android phone on the market. It is rumored to be out @ $149 (so much for all the trolls that latched on to the Droid Does leak that left Razr branding with a $299 price). For anyone on Verizon that wants something smaller than 4.3" this is the best phone on any carrier - not sure what everyone is complaining about. Show me a better phone at this size.
$149 would be sweet. If it's global ready as well, then I'm sold.Although the back looks a little different this is a Dinc 2 (almost exact same size) upgraded in every way:

Still waiting for it to be announced... release date and price. That's all I want to know anymore. I agree for those of us with the original Inc or the Inc2, this is going to be a very sweet upgrade. imho!

I wonder if Verizon will give a credit if you trade in your Inc1 for the Inc 4g.
I have a $50 rebate for when I upgrade at Best Buy. They also buy used electronics. Their site says I would get $35 for my og dinc. Waiting, waiting, waiting.

$35 hardly seems like its worth giving up the og Inc, its still a solid phone especially as a backup. I have 2, one is used as my cars mp3 player and its perfect for it

+1... I will hang onto mine as a backup. I'm getting this phone the day it's released. I'll be one of the guinea pigs that others want to wait for reviews from before they decide. I love my DInc, but I'm ready for something new. Don't think we will see any other 3.7 or 4" device any time soon if ever. Hope I get this and it last me for as long as my DInc.
I just read that the Dinc4g is not using the same processor as the Ones. It uses the 1.2ghz 8930 instead of the 1.5 - 1.7 ghz 8960. According to the Qualcom site it should have the Adreno 305 instead of the 220, which prolly makes zero difference. But this all means that it isn't the same processor just underclocked, and that it doesn't have the cool camera of the One series. Plus it is officially not being considered a One variant. This took a bit of the wind out of my sails. Now I'm starting to agree that this can only justify a lower price tag like $150. I was holding out for more from this phone, but after the slcd surprise, its been mainly bad news. What remains for me is if it comes with a SD card loaded, and if it will be wirelessly chargeable and if it has an FM receive. Iguess that dropbox space offer is still good. What else would sweeten the pot for this phone...earbuds w mike?
No, it's dual. Check this chart from Qualcom: https://developer.qualcomm.com/sites/default/files/snapdragon-specs.pdf
It also says that chip will be available for customer sampling in 2h of 2012. I think may 2012 is 1h of 2012.Thanks for this, more than likely the 8930 is indeed the soc in the droid incredible 4g. Compared to the 8960 in the one x or evo we have:
1.2 ghz 80% clock speed
Adreno 305 ~ 75% the gpu performance per qualcomm (at qHD this should still be good)
Single channel memory instead of dual channel of the 8960 (could be a bottleneck)
