I've been thinking about getting a Fascinate, but I'm really concerned by the really low 2 gigs of internal memory. Can anyone tell me if this has been an issue for them?

Thanks for the responses, sounds like 2 gigs should be more than enough then. One more question, though. Am I right in thinking that only actual apps need to be saved on the internal memory, and associated files can be saved to the SD card? (for example, say I download the Kindle app, the app needs to go to the internal memory, but the books I download can be saved to the SD card) Sorry for such noobish questions, I just want to make sure I know what I'm getting into(at least till the 2.2 update), and I'm still getting my bearings as far as Android smartphones go.

i dont know about kindle specifically but many apps save add ons to the sdcard yes![]()

my only complaint was that the display model ran pretty warm, but I think that had more to do with it being on all day and constantly charging than anything else.

Just note that the 2GB is actually like 1.53GB when you look in the task manager for available storage but dont let that get you down. At my fullest with over 250 apps installedI've been thinking about getting a Fascinate, but I'm really concerned by the really low 2 gigs of internal memory. Can anyone tell me if this has been an issue for them?
I still was only using half that 1.53GB, so while app size varies you can absolutely get hundreds and hundreds of apps on just 1.5GBYeah like nitsuj17 said my apps just have a small portion on the internal and then the bulk on the sdcard. Gameloft games are notorious for this. A smaller apk of 5-20mb on the internal and then 300mb of DL content on the sdcardThat's exactly what I was looking for, thank you. I've just come back from the nearest Verizon store to play with some of the phones, and I was extremely impressed by the Fascinate they had out.
Very zippy, beuatiful screen, no lag at all with apps like Angry Birds(which I noticed on some other phones like the Droid 2), and apparently a decent battery life from what I've heard; my only complaint was that the display model ran pretty warm, but I think that had more to do with it being on all day and constantly charging than anything else.
I think I'm sold on it.![]()
Aint that the truth holy moly pocket legends after like 30 minutes made my glass screen literally hot to the touchI have my phone almost constantly plugged in and it remains cool. The only time I really notice it warm is playing higher-end games (like the aforementioned Dungeon Hunter and Pocket Legends). But I would think a phone that isn't sleeping most of the day would run warmer than a personal phone.
And for the record, the Kindle app stores books in a folder on the SD card.![]()
