Root [International] PhilZ CWM Recovery - Dummies Guide

Congratulations! :congrats:

Always good to wipe cache and dalvik. No need to restore any TB items on a nandroid backup.

You can do me a favour now Fleetknight... you can post on your T-Mobile, All Things Root thread, here, that the big boys on the International forum helped you! ;)

I suppose that I had better post this latest update while the usual suspects on here are waiting for nurse to come round and give them their morning enemas! :nurse:

May be worth adding too Dummies guide to be aware that it can take up too ten minutes to do a restore. That's what I've read my last restore just hung at checking Md5, supposedly as Cwm has evolved feature wise etc sadly the speed of backups and restores has got slower

6.15.3 is up.
C'mon Rusty Bum, pull your pants up!

Giving how quiet it's been here i fear the worst for rusty......

.... His local may have been flooded :-( this will of course mean that there will be no correspondence from him until such time as he has single handedly gotten the pub back up and running.

In all seriousness, i do hope everyone here is safe and sound away from flooded areas etc!

Have the last couple of updates been pulled as the latest version I'm seeing in the download list is 6.15.4:confused:

Nah I'm still not getting it.

I've had a could of beers though so maybe a download link and changelog would help;)

Sweet, nice one:thumb:

A changelog and download link would be nice though:rolleyes:

Soz, it appears Ironass hasn't been about lately so someone had to take over the mantle;)

(Right Hawker! this is positively the last time I show you how to do a proper, informative, update post...)

PhilZ Recovery 6.15.6 is up! :)

Changelog:-

There is now one common PhilZ Custom Recovery for all Samsung Galaxy S4 quad core variants. This is, "jflte". Post #1, item #1.1, has been amended to reflect this, as has the Rooting Galaxy S4 - Dummies Guide, post #2, item #2.7.

Downloads for the Samsung Galaxy S4, GT-i9500, octa core model, remain unchanged.

ironass motto... "An Englishman's home is his castle... I know, because I've got an effing moat!" :hmmmm:

Lol. Don't make me laugh, my head hurts

In my experience, that is caused by a lack of alcohol.

I'd like to say that getting full update information from Hawker is like pulling teeth... but that should be easy as nurse puts them in a glass of water by his bedside every night! :nurse:

6.16.8 is out.

N Rusty am on phone so :p

Excuses, excuses! :( I've got a real throbber but you don't see me shirking my responsibilities.

PhilZ Recovery 6.16.8 is up! :)

"Update 6.16.8

This is the first build using the new independent libtouch source code
There are no changes kernel and other things wise, just a massive code cleaning, many bug fixes at compiler level and potentially on run time and moving all touch source to dedicated separate files

Next updates will progressively bring a prebuilt libtouch support. I will upload to git at that time, once all done

I just need you to flash and test if all settings/features are still fine, as they were
