The dev Supercurio wrote Voodoo software to make full use of the Wolfson audio chip in the Galaxy S1 and this phone has a similar chip. Supercurio has been intending to update voodoo so it supports the S3 but has never got around to it because of other projects he's been working on. But gokhanmoral has incorporated the tweaks supercurio used into his kernel for the S3. :) You can use ExTweaks app to adjust the kernel audio settings.

Perseus kernel also incoporates it :)

So Gokhanmoral still supports the S3. I've heard he dropped the S3 and only continuing development on the S2 and Xperia T.

I don't know, I'm not sure.
 
I would like to ask if i can just flash 3.1 over 1.7a without doing a wipe. The same with aroma mod from 1.7a-3.1. I want to add that ink effect and crtoff effec that omega had. Looks pretty cool :)

Another question is that if i wanted to edit any feature/bloatware from aroma how would i just remove/add again. What im doing is to reinstall all over again the aroma then uncheck whichever i dont like which is a lil hassle as i only want to change 1 thing. In omega they have like a switchcrtoff.zip if i want to remove that feature. :) im back to NeatRom after trying out Omega for a week.

Ok i got it no need to full wipe :)

Reflash Aroma with the mods you don't want unchecked straight over the top if any previous installation without any wipes. I only do wipes when flashing a new ROM or newer version of a ROM. Salesale makes Neat a "no wipe" ROM, this means a wipe is not needed when upgrading Neat, not coming from another ROM. I make extra work for myself by wiping, I know.

So i need to re-do the steps again each time i flash aroma right? I actually tried that awhile ago but caused me to bootloop so clear partition & dalvic cache still no good(thats before & after i install aroma) So i had to re-flash again The Rom then aroma. Is there an option to add crt off effect & inkeffect lockscreen on Neat :) Thanks for the tip
 
Okay i just noticed this yesterday, i open youtube app and do a full screen i then press the power button to turn off the screen and when i turn it on again it freezes,only way i can do is reboot the system. And also the screen turns like black and white like a graphic problem or something.This goes the same with the camera app. Is this a Rom bug as i only experienced this after using Neat Rom. I used 1.7 & 3.1 with same result.i did a fresh install to see if its an app causing this but its not.Other than that i like the Rom.Anyone tried this?

Ok its not freezing anymore after flashing back 1.7 & have been using it for a day , i will try to flash 3.1 again but not today :)
 
Flashed 3.1 again and everything is smooth. Battery life is amazing when in standby mode(4hrs standby only 2% was taken) but when i start to use,it drains for about 1%-5/6mins by just only browsing :)

Sorry if this has been asked but how can i 'add words' to the dictionary on my 3 x 4 keyboard.

I only have the stupid learning keyboard which is useless. Am running neatrom lite 3.1
 
I duno the keyboard youre usin mate but if its set to "smart learn", just type the word then space and it should remember it

Im using the stock keyboard. Ive heard others say they have the universal version which has done away with this stupid feature.

Its very frustrating as the only way to enter a word it foesnt know is to either tutn predictive text off or turn it into landscape mode. I much prefer 4 x 3 keyboard. Dont want to download another one.

My partner has Galaxy S2 and hers works just how S3 should as you can physically make the phone learn a new word. Try it yourself, try typing a load of lower case 'x x x x x x x 's' in portraight 4 x 3. It'll learn but only do X's. Next time you use it though it'll forget
 
Ive never used the stock keyboard tbh. I type in 3x4 format too but i use Smart Keyboard. I dont use predictive though but the keyboard learns my words and suggests them so i can just tap on them 1365064429747.jpg
 
Loving Neatrom Lite 3.1 but any chance you can put the stock 4 x 3 keyboard back to the way it used to be please Salesale?

The update they've put on it makes it impossible to use. You cant even add your own words to the dictionary. Don't want it to learn my words, want to be able to tell it and it will remember.

Samsung were stupid updating this. Seen loads of threads about this with no answer!

Have you got a titanium backup of the keyboard? If so just restore it. It's probably worth making a nandroid backup first though as system apps can sometimes act up being restored onto a different firmware version.

Havent got the keyboard to restore. Only owed the phone just over a week which has got the latest version which is useless :(

There's probably an apk of it lying around somewhere but I'm not sure where. The titanium route also eliminates the chance that it was downloaded from an untrusted source so if possible I'd go for that first.
 
Tbh if it was me id just use a 3rd party keyboard. I find Smart Keyboard perfect for that old-school style of typing coz u can adjust multitap interval. I use the pro version but the free one is fully functioning. It just has a nag screen occasionaly asking you to go pro

I prefer how PowerAmp music player do it, 14day free fully functioning trial version and then a one-off unlock key. Poweramp was actualy the app that made me link my bank card to play store lol none of the pirated unlock keys worked :)
Ironicly, smart keyboard PRO is one of the only payed apps ive regretted buying and wished id just pirated because the dev' support is completely non existant!
I have so much respect for devs but i really hate the ones just in for a quick quid that dont update or even answer emails grr :)
