Root [International] S3 NeatROM

im confused why is neatrom lite 2.0 4.2.1 and why is neatrom lite 3.1 4.1.2 confused what one to go for

sorry to bother again, but in the lite version screenshots we can see a different dialer and a different mms app(aosp style),there is a way i can get them using this rom?

A big thanks to Salesale once again.

I always, always completely wipe the phone, the nuclear option. I do a Nandroid, a Titanium back up, cut and paste all my media to PC, format internal SD, external SD, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, install and then, only then rebuild from scratch installing my. Apps back via my Titanium back up, previously saved to the PC.

While all this is longwinded, a pain and possibly unnecessary, I can say unequivocally I've never had any problems or issues at all with any ROM I've ever tried doing this. I believe 99% of all problems after a new ROM are caused by detritus left from an old one and many problems can be avoided by taking the "nuclear option".

When I get my S3. :)
I've already used Neat Rom on my S2 and Gokhanmoral's Siyah Kernel so this won't be a big jump from the S2. :)

Well, dynomot was also an S2 user. :)

i was also an s2 user but unfortunately had never heard of neatrom at that time i used to use only omega. I really missed out on something.

Hi, I'm just wondering how you go about flashing this rom while using the aroma zip. Do I flash the aroma zip first which then installs the neatrom rom, allowing me to choose kernels and recoveries as I flash the rom, or do I need to flash the rom first from the zip (I have both zips on my internal memory) and then flash the aroma zip to mod the installation after it is already flashed?

Cheers. :)

Flash the ROM first with the wipes and then the aroma without a wipe. Im not sure if it's necessary to boot in between the 2 flashes but I do just to make sure the base ROM is working fine.

Good practice. The more you can narrow down the difference between when something worked and when it didn't - the better.

No point complaining to your favourite themer when actually the rom wouldn't have worked unthemed.

And the great developer thanked my post. ;)
Don't worry sasa, once I get my S3, flashing Neat Rom will the first thing that I would do(of course, after rooting). ;)

Anyone know what "Hot Boot" means? Just tried it and after about 2mins the phone was still at the Samsung screen so i pulled the battery

Hotboot is like a virtual reboot I suppose. The apps will behave like the phone has been rebooted without actually rebooting the os. Although it's never worked for me, it just hangs at the Samsung screen.

Thats what i kinda thought it meant mate. Thats why i thought it was strange to be taking longer than a normal reboot. Oh well, it doesnt seem like a function id ever wana use anyway

Thanks Shotgun, I'm now among the ranks of NeatRom users.

Seems very smooth. :)
