Root [International] S3 NeatROM

Didn't work so flashed neatrom again

Anyway here's the keyboard and it's features. Was perfect but shame it caused a contact error so had to go. Fingers crossed Sale will add it in a future neatrom :thumb:



 
Not sure if anyway can explain (still a noob with all this) but im running Neatrom Lite 4.1 and I havent a clue what 'XXEMB5 Aroma Mods v3.1a' is or what I can do with it.

Only had this phone over 2 weeks and want to get it to do more. Just not sure were to begin so any links, videos etc would be a help so I know what im doing
 
The aroma adds extra features/options that you can choose from mate. Youre supposed to use the aroma that matches the rom. 4.1 doesnt have an aroma built yet but i 'think' someone tried the 3.1 aroma with it an it worked fine.
It lets you choose kernel, recovery etc and some customisations :thumbup:
 
Thanks. So we're can I learn more about kernels, recovery and the customisation with aroma? It all seems pretty vague and the you tube videos don't explain much either

Surely there's a guide to what each aspect does? Looked in some of the sticky threads which have helped

Aroma is simply a graphical installer for ROMs. Its got the ability to do all kinds of things, depending on what the dev of your ROM put into it.

Typical examples:
Choose between kernels
Choose theming options (can be on an icon by icon basis)
Choose what mods you want included in the ROM
Choose what apps to install (or not install)

If you are looking for basic information on what a kernel is or things like that we've got the stickys somewhere. I'm not join my phone so I can't link. Look for rooting terminology threads or the so called rooting for dummies usually have basic info after the root methods

ok so its good to know that eventually we would get a great neatrom for the s4. I still dont have the s4 either waiting and hoping for the release of the 32gb version as the 16gb version has only 8.25gb of storage which is really less.


@mods i dont mean to step on anyone's toes or anything and i dont know if its against the rules but i think sale tag should be developer and not just member now. He makes one of the best if not the best rom for the s3 and also for the s2 and in future hopefully for the s4 and onwards also.

It's not up to me but I don't see why it would be a problem. The final say comes from admin so if you're up for it sale your best bet would be to ask in the private chat with mods section. Admin will see it there and something could get sorted:)

Usualy if youre just moving up by a version or two, a wipe isnt really needed mate. The purists would always wipe but im a lazy lazy man lol :)
Still waiting on it downloading but im gona flash it without a wipe and see. Ill prob do a wipe before i flash the aroma :thumbup:
 
Most roms will wipe system automatically when you flash them.

Always wipe dalvik cache and cache after a flash.

Wipe data when going from tw to aosp, or aosp to touchwiz. Any other time you can usually get away with leaving it. Just have a nandroid ready of you plan on dirty flashing


If going from 1 rom to an updated version of the same rom, dalvik and cache is all you need.

If you run into problems, always try a full wipe first
 
I actualy forgot to wipe Dalvik but i got the whole "optimising apps" when booting after the flash so does that mean Dalvik did get wiped?
