Help is a Scratchguard required for SGS-2 !

I don't use anything for screen and I have a few little marks nothing you can see unless look really close.

I Don't think it's needed mate tbh

S3 be out soon just upgrade

That's not really convincing for someone who's asking if a protector is advisable to avoid scratches. :)

@Slug

Seriously man ! everyone including you tried to tell me that if properly handled and taken care of, a screenguard is not really required for a gorilla glass display. So when people like these, as some here have pointed that they have still got a scratch and marks on their screen despite the gorilla glass display !! What do people like me make out of the entire story who are purely here to find out, if possible they wanna do away with the screenguard. How do I rest assure myself ! :rolleyes:

I have a Case Mate Pop case and a Zagg protector screen, honestly i feel more confident now with putin the phone on tables or in pocket, or in car ... and it add grip and feel to the phone, for me the phone feels too slim and light and i almost dropped it many times because it feels slippery without a case.

Look, the choice is really simple, either you put a protector on and gain peace of mind but lose some of the smoothness of the touchscreen and clarity of the display, or you say "hang it" and go with a bare screen but added risk of scratching... still nothing to stop you from keeping your S2 in it's case when you're not using it and taking extra care when you are, but something tells me you're already doing that...

Forget about airborne dust and the like while you're walking around etc...if that was capable of marking the screen you'd be blind as a bat and coughing your lungs up by now!

Don't take it the wrong way, but this is really a very small issue. In normal use even without screen protector, its extremely hard to get scratches that are easily visible. Out in the open air, its not going to get scratch.

Its when you put it in your pockets with sharp objects, clean with cloth that might have sand particles that you didn't noticed... etc.

It happens, but even then I doubt the scratches would be noticeable. So it's really an individual decision. Put it in, you have peace of mind that its a bit more protected and it would be. But you loose out on screen clarity and response.

I use a matted one because I want to protect it a bit more when I place it in my pockets with my keys as well as a bit more fingerprint resistant. I don't use a full covercase. But I do lose out on screen clarity. And finally, if you do get a covercase which also protects the screen, then my opinion is that you can omit the screen protector. But it looks so chunky. :D

Ok to be frank ! I am inclined towards not to put it, but am scared if something happens, that is the real thing. Ideally, I dont wanna put it for losing on screen clarity and response. :confused:

That's my point. If you're at all concerned then put one on. It can easily be removed if you don't like it or become more confident in the durability.

Yes it's scratch-resistant but accidents can and do happen, as illustrated by a few cases here. Really, I don't understand why you need approval from anyone else. If you think you need a protector then use one.... simple.
