Root is anyone trying a work around for the bootloader

can you even flash the firmware without the other programs running??? cause if you cant then you did something wrong with following my guide....
 
I am really glad to see you guys making all this headway! I love this phone, but not having g custom ROMs is kinda lame. My thanks to everyone for the time and effort.
 
nope mr pnut not at all...got my phone out of download mode finally haha....havent tried to do it again yet tho not sure if i want to just yet had a huge scare haha

Does anyone has the link? Dont forget people i still have an extra motion for testing just send me a pm if you want me to test, i dont want anybody to screw up there device. ;)

Follow the instructions from this thread above, BUT make sure you use the CWM image shabby made for THIS phone. Also, you do not need UDK nor the recovery from that phone.

Where it says this:

1. Run KDZ Updater from UPK with Windows Enabler on.
Select your KDZ file.

Just replace that with following my unbrick guide, but stop at step 14.


Then follow the directions from the xda thread.

In step 8 from the xda thread, make sure you copy the address correctly!!! If you don't then you WILL be hard bricked.

Because of the differences between the Optimus Black and the LG Motion, I really do think mrpnut should try this since he has an extra phone...

when i get home at 330 im gonna try this again and hopefully get it to work this time lol....unless mrpnut has already confirmed it works lol
 
I do remember shabby telling me that there were no devs or otherwise working on the bootloader....

Anyways, thank god for development. I'm dyslexic so I'm completely at a loss to do much help other then testing and guinea pigging along. >.<
 
update: tried to inject the recovery and here is what i have.....

kzd installer got to about parse 50 and i hit first search and it only found 1 address 01211222C was the address i typed that into the cwm inject with the test recovery in the folder and that address in the address location and hit write...it wrote and when it was done the kzdu installer closed and my phone remained in download mode.....im not sure what i did wrong but i couldnt run the cwminject as administrator cuz something was missing....

Phone is alright and not bricked but i had to reformat cuz i tried to boot into recovery and it just reformated my phone so it didnt work :(

edit: i installed .net framework 4 but the runtime didnt work wasnt found how do i get it to work

Probably didn't write cause you're not running it as admin...
