Root is anyone trying a work around for the bootloader

Wow you guys are awesome! Sounds like we almost have recovery! Exciting times! I can't afford an S3 so I am thankful that peeps are putting all this effort into my Motion ;)

shame, sgs3 had TWRP and CWM as well as an alpha for CM10 the day it came out :), and that was all just from the OUDHS :P
 
Cricket has a phone called the LG LW770, looks like a motion even almost the same model number as the motion. If it isn't locked up like the motion perhaps we can copy some of its FW over to a motion and get around our issues. Just a thought.

Ik this, I need a serial number to get firmware. And I don't think its been released yet.
Nope, still not even on LGs website.

It almost seems like you have to wait for the phone to start rebooting before you click first scan...then when the addresses pop up u have to be fast with putting in the address and write....im gonna try again here in a little bit
 
ok i have tried this for the last 3 days and every time i do i get the same results which is squat...so with that said i dont think this method is gonna work
 
ok ok ok anyone that may possibly have a working cwm for us....anyone who is trying to develop one...let's focus on the optimus 4x recovery installer...i tested it out and it half worked...i booted sucessfully into CWM...got caught in a bootloop afterwards though

Didn't playfulgod fix the boot loop for can for that phone I think I read that somewhere

incorrect, lg disables access to fastboot unless boot is broke. If the bootloader is locked you cant install cwm etc n it boot. Connect installs n boots cwm and roms just fine. ;)

the Motion has a locked and signed bootloader, boot, and recovery.

Is the recovery locked??? I don't think it is if people are now partially booting cwm :confused:
