I read everyone complaining about how evil Fb is yet most of you continue to log in. I read everyone complaining about not being able to uninstall Fb mobile and dogging Fb for it, yet Fb doesn't make mobile phones so why not dog on Samsung, HTC, ect.... For it?
Maybe we should dog on Samsung, HTC, etc, and the carriers, for accepting FB's dollars in return for bundling their app. Which is so often can't be removed, not without rooting. It's not just FB, some carrier's phones seem to come with a hell of a lot of junk. We've had quite a few times here things like, how do I remove this useless NASCAR app on my new Sprint phone? And I've had to deal with phones loaded with Facebook, that came from 3 in Hong Kong.
I get that privacy is important, but most of the people complaining about Fb mining there data don't seem to mind Google doing it.....
Privacy is important to me, Anything I want private, I just don't put it on the internet or store it in cloud. I'm sure there's many concerned about Google's privacy and data mining. The US and EU governments have been very interested in that as well.
BTW I do use social networking(WeChat and QQ, both Chinese), but I'm always very careful about what I put on them, and I'm happy for all to see it.
And we do agree to their TOS(which we often don't read) in return for using their "free" services.
uke:, with pre-installed junk on some of their phones. Phones from 3 in Hong Kong have Facebook installed. And China Mobile puts all kinds of crap on their own TD-SCDMA handsets. Manufacturers will customise phones to whatever a carrier requires, the notable exception is Apple I think. AFAIK most phones are sold by carriers, rather than independants.

) friends instead of being nagged and then feel like I don't want to be your friend but it is nothing personal to him / her but just the sometimes hard fact for others to understand that I don't know who you are and I prefer to just keep a few very close good friends.
The permissions though I am quite sure remain active as you can still see them at the bottom. Even though you did not choose to sync contacts with Facebook you will find that if you open Facebook that Facebook will already have accessed your contacts and Facebook permission give Facebook the right to modify toggle/sync permissions.
