It is still at 4.1.2. I've taken the update, without any root issues, I've never used an OTA root protector, so let us know how it goes

I would love to know how do these OTA zips need modifying for use with rooted devices... and not just a step 1, step 2, etc... but the why also. Where do you learn this stuff and would you be willing to share the how and why?
Okay guys so I have ran through the update. Its just security and maintenance. Lot smoother. I'm going to make a slightly modded rom this weekend and fix up root, and all the internals. Also gonna remove bloat. From there I warrant everyone to do as they wish and I may do some mods to the smali as I like my rom (can't take requests because I'm picky ) will keep you all posted
You need a paypal donation button asap !
So I used the system dump and updated everything went smooth. I am still receiving the alert to update. What do I need to edit in the build.prop?. I tried just overwriting the build.prop with the one that was posted but it causes me to bootloop.

Oh ok I will try that.
Edit. So I copy the new build.prop in ed file explorer goto /system click paste. There is only an option to overwrite not replace. What am undoing wrong?
OK copy and pasted, then rebooted and still received the update notification
