Oh also forgot to mention that I Wiped the Cache from recovery Menu.
I just wiped through backup and reset under settings.

Something I noticed about the proximity sensor, it stays on after I've ended a phone call. Maybe a lot of people who are having a battery drain issue are in countering this problem however they don't notice it.I reset my phone ( not factory reset) and it took forever for it to go through the reset process. Should I contact HTC regarding this issue? Or should I just not address it since many have already.

Please report it to HTC. I got another disappointing response that told me that they want me to send my phone in for repair!!! Grrr!!!
The proximity sensor worked before the update just fine. Now it's busted after the update. Why would my phone be the problem? There is a problem with the code in the update! That is the only logical conclusion but they refuse to acknowledge it because, most likely, few are complaining.
The more people who complain the better chance that we will finally be heard and the better chance that the developers will fix their code. So please, please, please! Report it to HTC.
Thank You!!!![]()
im not having any battery issues. my serious issue is with bluetooth. it doesnt work at all anymore. it wont recognize any devices near it, and other devices cant find my phone.
the other two minor issues i'm having are with voicemail and the proximity sensor.
i called my guy at sprint and he told me to try a hard reset to see about fixing the bluetooth issue. i didnt think that would help but i did it last night. it didnt work. i told him today and he said he would order me a new phone.
if you havent upgraded to jb just yet...i would wait until they fix these issues first.
.After Jelly Bean update my Google Maps just locks up during navigation. Anyone having this problem? It starts the route then about 5-10 seconds later it stops.
I got my replacement EVO in the mail today. I didn't plan to update it to jb but after seeing some ppl saying they weren't having any issues, I decided to give it a try.
Well much to my surpirse I'm not having any issues that I was posting about prior...voicemail, proximity sensor, lagging, and Bluetooth.
Its working perfectly without any issues
factory fresh phone, i would not expect you to have any issues.
many people who are having issues have dirty tangled caches to which a factory reset would more then likely cure their concerns.
pleased to hear all is well with your new toy...

Except for those of us who have done factory resets and wiped the chache several times who still have issues... LOL....![]()

Why should consumers have to wipe their phones clean (factory reset) after receiving an OTA "upgrade" in order to get their phones to work properly. There seems to be something inherently wrong with this!! If an upgrade is truely an upgrade for an unrooted phone, it simply should work after a purported OTA upgrade! (Unrooted phones do not have the luxury of having a 'nandroid' to fall back on to restore the phone after a "wipe".
Do others share that concern?? (It seems that we, the unrooted, were let down by the release of the OTA 3.15.651 upgrade to JB.) What can HTC and Sprint do to right the situation for the unrooted??![]()

Well, my battery time is better after the factory reset but not by a whole lot and not nearly as good as before JB. Made it about 12 hours before hitting red last night. Usage was a normal day which before I could make it 24+ hours. Pretty disappointing. Positive is my notifications are still working correctly which for me was critical. Will just go back to plugging in at work like I did the Evo 4G until a fix (hopefully) comes out. Proximity sensor is a little better after the reset but does wacky things. Now the screen flashes on/off when it's away from my face after a call. What is the cache clear in the recovery menu that was mentioned? I just did a factory reset under settings -> backup and reset -> reset phone. I didn't check erase all data or erase SD card.
I have another question for you guys. I just got a new micro SD card. It was reformatted before I transfered my old files and inserted it into my phone. I tried exploring the contents of it through Astro and got the message "SD card unexpectedly removed. Unmount SD card before removing to avoid data loss."
What's going on? I've already gotten it multiple times.
All my screenshots sent through texts are blurry now since he update. Does anyone know of a fix for this? My wife teases me now telling me her iPhone is better than mine now..smh.
