Jelly Bean for Att... when?

This is wierd... one of my friends has a Galaxy S3 with Sprint and he told me that his Jelly Bean version is 4.1.2. I update mine my S3 from ATT and is version 4.1.1. Why Sprint has a newer version?

What says 4.1.2? If it is his phone, he's probably running a custom Rom. After all, the international s3 didn't get 4.1.2 until today.

Mine sat at 65% for a good long time. Kies REALLY sucks so don't fidget. It took me about half an hour at work.

At this point, I am thinking Kies is simply a pet project for all of Samsung's summer interns to tinker with.

So how's battery life with Jelly Bean

On mine it is slightly worse (~7% per hour vs. 5.5-6% before). Kernal and Maps processes use more CPU time vs. ICS.

I have no scientific info about the battery but....................if i do not use the phone the battery seems to do quite well. However, if i use the phone as i have in the past (very average use) the battery seems to drain at a faster rate. The battery does however last for longer than what my usage requires of it.

Again, not science but have been very busy with other issues as of late.

jellybean has optimized the S3's processor. i think that might be it.
more processor power = faster camera = better pictures? :smokingsomb:
at least that's what i'm assuming...hehe

No because I can't install Kies in my computer... I have an iMac with Mac OS X 10.8. Not compatible..
