no need for odin,the exe is like an app that runs you through what to do.. easy..

no i went to the download page on samsung,and it will give you choices to choose from and VM SGS2 is in the choice nothing sprint the exe is called "Virgin Mobile D710_GB28_JellyBean_SimpleUpradeTool.exe"
 
I did the frama root method, this won't cause problems trying to update to jb? and has anyone tried the frama root apt after upgrading to jb

yea it matters it gives the option to choose that one also go to samsung then support then downloads

under mobile pick cell phones thats where you will get the page like the picture i linked
 
I tried using Kies for over an hour with Team Viewer on my buddies phone, gave up and did the direct download and it worked like a charm. :p

sure,i don't know if it matters or not,but there are two different downloads for the white and dark one, don't know what the difference is.

I wonder why there are two downloads for white and grey. Is there a theming difference to match the color of the phone. I dunno.. I guess we'll find out.
 
Okay so before I update what I want to ask is, will I lose root with this update? Also what is Framaroot?

Yes, you will lose root and Framaroot is a one click root exploit that doesn't work with updated phones.

anyone see a difference with service?(bars) mine is better. use to only get 3 bars max,now i see 4 and sometimes full.
 
Hey BlackGravity was it worth losing root in order to update even though we have a 10.1 here for us to use?
