Help Jelly Bean update - Dummies Guide

Jelly Bean, Android 4.1.2, releases for the following CSC codes...

GT-i9100

MOT = SLOVENIA (Mobitel)

NRJ = FRANCE (NRJ)

COS = GREECE (Cosmote)

OLB = MALAYSIA

OLB = PHILIPPINES (Sun)

PAN = HUNGARY

VDH = HUNGARY (VDH)

Further JB update to...

XEC = SPAIN (Movistar)


GT-i9100T

THL = THAILAND T

Hello

Im looking to upgrade to JB, currently have GB, rooted with an old siyah rom.

Looking at post 1.7, ive added my details on to samMobile, but confused as to what firmware to download.

My phone details are:

PDA: I9100XWLA4

PHONE: I9100XXLPH

CSC: I9100XEUKD1


Also when i do a titanium backup, will i be able to re-install the apps & pics from camera etc?
 
Thank you ironass. I just noticed that the CSC "OXX" pertains to a lot of countries (Spain, Romania, Nordic, etc.) some in bold and others not on the 2.1 list.

There is only one JB, Android 4.1.2, firmware for your CSC code to choose from in SamMobile. :confused:

Correct... but OXX, Switzerland, has not been released so far. Hence the lack of update via Kies or OTA.

My GT-I9100 CSC code is I9100ORALPJ, been flicking through the posts and it seems as though JB isn't released yet for my version. Can someone confirm?

Any idea's if it will be released soon? If not I may just use Odin.

Really?! Well, been busy lately. School Year here in the Philippines starts next week and I'm not even enrolled yet.
 
It would seem that the Samsung Galaxy S2 is in line to receive the Jelly Bean update to Android 4.2.2, "apparently", according to Hawker's post, here.

Android 4.2.2 is the version that is now on the Samsung Galaxy S4.

Keep your eye on post #2 of this thread as I shall be updating it with this release, if or when, it appears.
 
"Samsung Galaxy S3, Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note 2 are going to get their official final Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update in a few days."

I hope that "few days" will not turn into "few months".

My Galaxy S2 got a Jelly bean update through OTA last week. After the upgrade, for every page transition, it keeps announcing that like "Page 1 of 5", "Page 2 of 5" etc. How do I switch this off?

Will this include Media Scanner fix? Would hope so as this is a later build!
I will leave Neat Rom LSS if it does!
 
Updated today to Jelly Bean, Android 4.1.2 CPW = UNITED KINGDOM carphone warehouse via Kies.
Was a bit hesitant to apply update as was on ICS 4.0.4 and had the brick bug issue haven't wiped anything just installed.
All okay so far 3 hours on will update forum if i have any issue,i am a complete newbie to this phone update game so keeping everything crossed that nothing goes wrong.
