I don't want to sound like someone just complaining about battery life without basis. My phone is on 3G or WiFi 24/7 and does sync several apps. Now back on Sense, this is an example of what I get:

For my next phone I will get one with a Vanilla ROM, that way I can run AOSP/AOKP and get good battery life.

A Galaxy Nexus on JellyBean gets excellent battery life. With a DHD:

Best battery life = Sense + Gingerbread
Next best = Sense + ICS
Third best = AOSP/AOKP + Gingerbread OR AOSP + ICS with 2.x (old kernel)
Worst = AOSP/AOKP + ICS or JB (3/x kernel)

I am not on JellyTime right now, but am on Blackout ICS, where Google Chrome does not work all that well. Downloaded the latest version (November 28) of Chrome and the new version, works much better. Maybe one of you could give it a try on JellyTime. It still does not work as well as my stock browser, with a fair amount of keyboard lag, but other issues seem to be fixed.

problem with keyboard is still here.. :/
 
Is the GPS working well in Blackout. Didn't work for me on AOSPX, so i moved to ARHD but like, all my apps just give FC's.
 
GPS works on Blackout, but it works for me to in aospX.

ARHD is Gingerbread. If you are restoring apps from a backup utility, some of your ICS/JB apps wont be compatible. You have to download them from the market again.
 
I used to have that problem too. It seems to have gone away for me on the latest version on a different ROM. But the keyboard lag so much, both stock and SwiftKey, for it to be of use.
 
Just recently switched to Jellytime R29 on my DHD and can confirm that battery life is about 50-60% less than on ICS. It now lasts 7-8 hours with minimal use (<5 Minutes screen on), whereas previously it lasted around 12-15hrs with same usage pattern. Otherwise, Jellytime is superb !

Would be great if battery life could be extended. How can we pinpoint the high drain so it can be improved ?
 
On JellyTime R29 again, this time with the KangBang v1.9 kernel. I know the first thing I should test are the headset buttons. But you know me, I test Chrome first. And Chrome works pretty good (don't forget to disable HW overlays). A bit of a stutter when scrolling but keyboards works great. And no keyboard lag.

Gimme a minute...

And headset buttons work too.
 
What about Google Chrome? Still not as good as it works on aospX, but good enough to make it my default browser.

So far, I have plenty of awake time while the screen is on. But still keeping my fingers crossed on battery life.

Battery at 48% - 11 hours 38 minutes running time.

i don't know..for me battery is the same, awake problem is still here..manual select network not working..and for chrome, i don't test it..
 
It could be that we have different usage patterns. As far as I can tell improvement is mainly when the phone is at sleep. If you are a heavy user, the improvement may not be noticeable.

Chrome is working better except for a bit of stuttering when panning, and unfortunately flickering on some websites.

still problem with awake but it seems better with KangBang..
 
I discovered this ROM last week and love it. Stable (so far) and, most importantly, seems to not suffer from the problem I was having with Ice Cold Sandwich which resulted in horrible distortion when listening to music.

Can't comment on battery life, though. I'm almost always near a charger so not the kind of thing I would have noticed yet - hoping I don't get a nasty surprise next time I'm out for an extended time.

Very happy, though, and this is looking like the ROM which might keep me going until I scrape together the money for a Nexus 4 (by which time there might actually be some for sale!).
