Root Jellybean update

The sequent is getting jellybean. I saw it on the Boost website.

Update: There will be no upgrade to Jelly Bean for any of the three Boost Mobile’s phones mentioned above. Apparently, it was all a mistake noticed by Boost only when a Prepaid Phone News reader asked them about when upgrades could be expected. Boost Mobile have corrected the feature lists of ZTE Warp Sequent, LG Venice and Samsung Galaxy Rush since so now it’s clear that “The phones are not upgradable to Android 4.2.”

it is on the main phone features page here

It says:
"Loaded with OS Ice Cream Sandwich, you can enjoy the upgrade to Jelly Bean, the newest and most advance Android OS available."

edit: however, it also says we have 8 hours talk time. lol

btw, just a heads up, as soon as the update hits we need it on here somewhere. there is no guarantee that the same root method will work, there is no guarantee that any root method will work, so use cwm to pull it after the update and get it online asap that way we can pick it apart and at the very least get a flashable out that comes pre-rooted

How would i put jellybean on my Warp Sequent? I know its unofficial

Is it rooted with a cwm and if so scroll through the forums and you'll see Cm10 that's the jellybean we have now and it still has things missing but if you want you can flash but if you're talking about ztes update no one has it yet you have to wait until ZTE drops it

yep, gotta root, do cwm, then the options if you want jellybean are cyanogenmod 10, and im pretty sure aokp and pacman are both jellybean as well. but they all share the same defects, camera, bluetooth, etc

Just hopped over to rooted (unsigned_stock_B09) yesterday, and wondering if the OTA would work, being stock?

It should work on any rom as long as the the Developer doesn't disable the notification, and its not going to come just right now. i would give it maybe 2-3 or 4 weeks before the OTA's start rolling out. When OTA's roll out they are released in batches. Not everyone will get the update notification at the same time. So all we gotta do is hope someone here get the OTA update soon and copy the update.zip file from cache after its done downloading and post it up here.

I've got these topics in system updates, update PRL/Profile/ZTE Software/Firmware ... I checked under firmware, and was told (of course) none, and it did seem to try for 30 seconds.

Well, compounding thing's, I've just read this from the other thread, "Stock Rom B09" http://androidforums.com/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=5759553

about the mms thing, mine does not work with b09 stock. The b09 i used for the ROM is from this thread, created by money15. When i go to the hidden menu, mine says mms.sprintpcs.com, NOT mm.myboostmobile.com. .

So, if this rom is derived from Sprint, that might be one way it won't get an update, .... as it could fail any OTA hardware/software testing by Boost?

What's the hidden menu combination? I can't remember the damn key to tap 7 times.

Thanks guy's, there it is bigger than life, MMSC : mm.myboostmobile.com

And all the other tracking information, ... found my name, (not Dim Bulb) and fingerprints and, footprint's and probably every single thought I've had since I purchased the phone carefully noted and filed away for future "targeted ad's"
